Thought I would finally update this. Alot has happened since memorial. Started getting it ready to race by adding a 32 gallon fuel cell, finally got some 2.5 coil overs for the front and moved the 2.0s out back, tail light bar, had to add a oil cooler to try to get my temps down, and reworked some suspension.
When to fordyce a few weeks ago with mostly good results, something on my truck doesn't like really deep water and I kept blowing a fuse in the middle of the water crossings, that sucked.

Last weekend was my first race, at nor cal rock race. Got 2nd the first two heats with a blown out resi on my rear shock. It still handled pretty good for no dampining on that shock. Rolled it in practice pretty hard trying to take a turn too fast. Sway bar is next on my list. In the main I took the whole shot( this motor screams) and about one and a half laps into the race while I was in first I couldn't get the tranny into a gear. Pretty sure I smoked my brand new LCE clutch. The race was a blast and I was very impressed with my truck for not having a sway bar or any shock tuning.
the next project is going to be to try to get my cases and tranny out without having to pull my motor.

I'll post some pictures when I get home

Nice! sounds like a good time. I didn't realize you were doing all that work to race your truck. Sounds like the pay off was worth it!

The way that thing is sheared off at the rivets, I would say that is from heavy or harsh engagements at take off or shifting quickly and slamming on the throttle. The weak point will almost always be the rivets.

Good job tearing that :pokinit: up though!

Got a new clutch disc from clutch masters, six puck full ceramic. They tweaked and freshed up my pressure plate. Just have to figure out how I'm going to get my tranny back in, it was a pita to get it out. Just shipped out two of my coil overs to f-o-a to get fixed and rebuilt. Hopefully the shox get back in time to make it to the round up, otherwise I'll be riding with my dad.

For sure! I was going to try to talk bret into letting me race his truck since he will be gone. Hahaha Co-driving sounds like a better time.
