yeah that would suck.  i dont like the way my stock power steering performs but at the same time i am kinda reluctant to install hydro assist for fear that i will break other parts!!!

really the worst thing with hydro is you tend to turn harder than you normally would if your bound up, wich might bend an arm proble not break it though, studs too

that is mostly what i am worried about.  right now my tie rod rubs on the top of my leafs when i am flexed and turning. it puts alot of stress on steering arms, tie rod ends, and studs of course.  so if i have hydro assist it is only going to worsen those problems because i wont be able to feel it in the steering when its binding up.  i know that obviously the best thing to do is to re-design some stuff up front so i have better steering clearances.  unfortunately right now i just dont have the resources to do that.

oh and i have all-pro high steer arms on my truck.  they are about six or seven years old. they were on the truck when i bought it.

lol yeah buddies like to do that!  so i made some good progress on my stainless fuel tank today!  i need to get some pictures and post them up.   i got all four sides tacked onto the bottom sheet, got the drain plug welded in and the filler tube welded in.  tomorrow i have to drill holes and weld in the pickup line and return line.
