Steve_925

got my shock tabs from ballistic today, wich are very nice. mounted them and welded them.

did a flex test with the cherry picker. i about tipped the picker over flexing it out.

the good: the shock doesnt kit the frame untill the shock is 100% extended. so im gonna strap it about 3/4-1" before its fully extended. so i shouldnt have a problem there.

at full flex the front d line only pulls out an inch at the most

the bad: the shock hits the tire with a few inches of shaft showing. so im thinkin maybe 2" wheel spacers instead of 1.5" :dunno: any other suggestions?

its also sitting 5" taller than planned with the adjuster all the way up.
the springs are band new it has a 150 and 300 wich is softer than planned. im thinkin maybe they need to be broken in? or should i exchange the 300s for 275s.

other than that it cherry. enjoy

oh ya the tire is about 37" off the ground and thats with bone stock rear susp. and no weight. and the body is at 15%

check out my $25 power tank set up. i found an oooooold oxy bottle and for $25 the welding suplie shop exchanged it for a nitrogen tank. im using my welders regulator.

what backspacing are you running on your wheels get some 2" or 2.5".  I got 2.5" and 2" spacers.   You should beef up that panhard mount on frame.  wrap it up higher on the frame.  looks good

i just talked to the owner of offroad-engineering about my truck sitting to high. after going back a fourth we decided that it would be best if i try the springs i have and if its still not right then he will exchange them. im also having him pick me up some beard ultras at the so cal swap meet. those should be sick

edit:engineering not solution

ya the energy coils he will exchange. i asked him if i tested them out on the trail if he would still exchange them and he said ya. i already scrached them. :shake_head: i think i am going to exchange the lower for a 250# instead of the 300. me and my dad(500 lbs) sat on the front of the frame and it was still like 3 or 4 inches too high. sucks thoughg cuz i have too pay to ship the 300s to him and then pay for the 250s to come to me.

Steve_925

hope not. i still need opinion from people with experience. im thinkin more on it, and maybe i should go like a 100 lb instead of 150 and keep the 300. that would make it better for me when i go to the dunes. theres a dual rate lock washer, it pretty much lets you adjust when you dont want to use your upper spring. so if i were to bring it to the dunes i coud make it so i only use the lower(300lb) spring and not the upper. wich would stiffen up my rig alot. i really dont know

how much you want for a pair? proble the 2.5s if i need them spaller i could just have them milled down

I was talking about rims 15x8 2.5" backspacing would get you wider by a 1" or more on each wheel.  hey how do you get in touch with offroad solutions?
