Looks cool I will be watching. Is this one going to have toy axles or not since it will not be a hard core Wheeler? What are the planes for it?
Is that the IH version of the dana 30 mounted to that tranny. Those are supposed to be verry desirable cases.
It has a T19 trans and Tcase is a Dana 300 "I think".Not sure what the ratios are in the trans or tcase, but the axles have 3.73's and a limited slip in the rear. I think the clutches are already burnt up. I haven't decided what locker I plan to use yet, but will most likley wait till I figure out what ratio gears I want to run.

Not too sure from the pics but it looks like the fill plug is very close to the shift rails. If it is its a dana 300, if the fill plug is lower to the right of the shift rail its a dana 20 but it looks to be a 300 so your a lucky SOB. 2.46 lowrange stock but you can grab pretty much any upgrades you want, 32 spline outputs 3.57 and 4:1 lowrange gears etc etc.
2 1/2 ton axleshttp://arkansascrawlers.com/main/forum/showthread.php?t=4449
subscribed!!and im still looking for parts.ive got three pros on it now from what i hear, if we can find a strater, it will be spendy
I wonder how good a Truetrac diff would work for a moderate trail use. I don't want a ratcheting locker and ARB's are TOO much for this axle.
I have a trutrac in the front of mine...did OK on the Rubicon wouldn't you say?
except it didn't save me from getting sideways on that rock...
Mark I beat the hell out of my old truetrack in my 3/4 ton chevy with a D44 and a healthy v8 and 36 TSL's... never had a problem with it other than broken stub shafts.
