It's like driving a two stroke dirt bike. Clutch kick and your off. Maybe I'll see if I can get some video up of it going through the whoops.

What a bummer!  How is that coming out of the corners?  Are you able to keep the rpms in the power band or do you feel a little lag before it sits you in the seat!?!  Thats way more HP than we are putting to the ground with our 3rz!

That is a lot smoother than the little wheel travel we have!  We haven't been on the dyno in a long time, but we are between 200-250 at the crank and if I remember correctly we were only putting in the 150's to the ground.  We were however close to 200+ft lbs of torque and that is the huge difference with this motor over the 22r we used to run!

Today we worked on the R140 Race trans.

After locating some thick wall tubing, I machined a spacer for the output shaft.

I will not be taking the Race trans to the King of the Hammers because Dan from Grand Junction will be at the shop on Monday to pick it up on the way to Stockton and then home to GJ.

I hope Val will not be disapointed.

Jason, I have located a pair of block to bellhousing braces from a 5 speed 2.4 2RZ Tacoma truck. For an unknown reason, these braces were not offered on the 3RZ? This will help strengthen the drivetrain on those long jumps and heavy landings.

I hope to pick them up tomorrow and will try to post a pic on this thread.

Sure, just as soon as I get a set for myself.

By the way, this makes me think, how does "The Fire Guys" get product before my own Crawler truck?
Talk about kissing ass.
What a vendor will do to support a great crew.

Now, get your ass back to work.

Great deal, I paid $20.00 for the pair that I got complete with bolts.
Can you locate any more? I could use 5 pairs right now!

Here's a pic comparing the 22R to the 2/3RZ.
Since these braces were never available for the T100 rear sump pan, the L/H brace will need to be clearance in the area as shone.

Fire Guys, here's your latest pics of the new R140 H/D race trans.

Angelo and I have been working hard on this new design as seen under the blue shop towel.
