As many of you desert racing fans (I'm one) know the Baja 1000 is coming up this month November 10-16th (stat of race is 6:30am on the 13th.). It's been in the making for some time but we are now proud to announce that we will be sponsoring Fire Guys Racing team #747 in their class 7SX Toyota truck. That's only part of the excitement, the biggest part is the Marlin Crawler (or maybe I should say Marlin Hauler) special prototype transmission that will be put to the ultimate test on the most famous off-road test track in North America. Fire Guys Racing are running a 2.7L LCE engine with our prototype R150 transmission built exclusively by Angelo. The actual specs that make this transmission stand above our other HD models is top secret for now. We have been working on and off this project for a while now and were probably not finished with it yet.

You may know the "Fire Guys" from their many years in off-road racing and BITD series. Jason Hutter owner/drive was forced out of the 1000 last year (due to engine trouble) 4 hours ahead of the class.   We will try to get live satellite race coverage updated every 60-90 seconds on the main web page. Follow the Fire Guys #747 through the race and let's hope for nothing less then a class victory.

start by hanging around a fairly new fab shop and be a shop hand for a loooong time.. hahahha easyiest way to get in.. or just talk to people and network... best place to do that is at the race or at the offroad expo.. lots of racers there....

Hey Everyone...Thanks for all your support.  We want to give a big "shout out" to Marlin Crawler for helping us out with this project, a bullet proof transmission is one of the things you need in this off road racing stuff.  They were super easy to work with and right on time with everything.  Tested the tranny today and everything is great.  Here is the live tracking info: www.racetheworld.net  look for the "live baja 1000 tracking thread" there are two maps, upper and lower baja (if you don't see us on one check the other)  class 7SX #747 Jason Hutter.  It should take around 37 hours to complete the 1300 miles :) sometimes the tracker will show 0 mph, but don't give up, there could be a bottleneck/pit stop/briefly stuck in some silt/flat tire/anything really BUT we don't give up easily.  It should be fun and if any of you are down in Baja stop by and say "HI"!

Hey Randy! Glad to see you here. I extremely pumped about this. I had a new sticker idea give to us for this. Image the turtle in flight, about 2 feet off the ground, slightly tilted and he is wearing a sombrero.
