I miss that old shop! I remember when my Tacoma sat in that same spot on jack stands waiting for some attention..

Runnerguy

As of 7:45 friday night, there is 330 vehicles entered, and 71 in the 1450 class!! Take a good look at he pictues above.. It'll be the last time you'll see the fiberglass, and most likely the doors!! (hope the roof stays in the original form..) C'mon guys, who else is going?? This is going to be one to remember!!!

boggerunner

we took the race truck out to the dezert today and got it up to 101 mph. made a couple loops, and ran the whoops a few times.  here are some pics

They won the first race, and few others.
they lost the driver front fender and driver bedside.

they kicked some ass this weekend!
Marlin himself was even there!

Josh will be more in detail.

Way good weekend! They kicked ass! The truck is in good shape. One bed side fell off.. and the right front fender decided it didn't like the ride.. The left front wanted to fall off, but paul duct taped it!! It worked great. All weekend was very exciting.. Watched a few rolls, one was 100 yards away from us in the pits.. a few others on coarse. A 1600 buggy landed sidways directly in front or the FG trailer. aimed right at everyone sitting on the tail gate, the guy gathered it up,turned to the right, and missed the trailer ramp by less than a foot! people were running, and diving out the the way.. Jason will chime in soon, I'm sure he'll have some stories for yal..

I got home last night after having a GREAT weekend meeting new and old friends, and hanging out with the Fire Guys.

It all started when Mrs. Crawler and myself spent 9 hours Friday driving to Primm NV by way of the Hwy 5 Grapevine, (Hwy 58 was closed due to snow), on to Apple Valley to drop off parts for the King of the Hammers Marlin Crawler Formula Toy and finally to Primm just over the Nevada state line.

We were going to the 50th annual Californian Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs convention and vendor show. We finally arrived (it should of taken use 6 hours at most) at 9:30 PM.

Sat morning, on my way to our Tundra in the back parking lot, I was greeted with the sight and sounds of an off road race located just across the parking lot and at that very moment, I watched a red #747 race truck with a 12" MC sticker pulling up to the entrance gate. I quickly ran across the lot, up the dirt embankment to the roadway and for the first time met Jason and Paul (copilot). At that time they were completely ready to race and all I could do was to point at my MC shirt before they drove off to the starting line.

I was so blown away with seeing them just by coincidence, that I went back to the room grabbed my camera and booked back to the pit area waiting for the 7S class race to begin. The start line was located far off to the south of me, so I chose to speak to a few racers in the pits. I finally got to take picts of the Fire Guys flying by two times and then at the end of the third and final lap, they made a sharp left turn and circled through the pits far to the south of me before getting back on the race track. Knowing that it was a three lap race, I ran out into the track and using hand signals, motioned them to stop. Those idiots slammed on their brakes nailing me with flying dirt and rocks yelling at me that they were still racing. I felt like a bone head :hammer: and with my camera, headed back to the vendors show .

Shortly after the booth was set up, my cell phone rang and on the line was 79coyotefrg telling me that someone was trying to get a hold of me at an off road race in Primm?

The rest is history....

Thanks to Josh and his internet connections, he was able to track me down through Glen. Within a few minutes, my cell rang and it was Kevin giving me directions to their location on the north side of Buffalo Bills casino. When I arrived at the pit gate, I did not have the pit pass so as I waited to find a way to obtain one, Jason pulled up and slapped one on my windshield.

All MC did was help them with their transmission issues and as a result, I was treated like a long lost friend.
The Fire Guys are a great bunch of guys that enjoy racing and have a track record to prove it!

Thanks again to Jason and M., Paul and Marni, Kevin, Josh, Chris, Mark, Dave, Randy and Amber, ....

Looking forward to seeing all you again at the Mint 400.
