sweet tea.

:yumyum:  it don't get no better!  One of my favorite parts of going to logan's roadhouse, and after hating arizona teas I found out they made sweet tea.  Now I can't get enough of the stuff!
RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

ok I'll play.....I made this last night and it is awesome.  You'll need some guinness and an ice cream maker. It aint the easiest to make but damn i couldnt stop eating it.

1/2 vanilla bean, split lengthwise
1 cup whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup Guinness stout
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons molasses
4 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. In a medium saucepan, scrape in the vanilla bean seeds. Add the pod, milk, and cream. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Turn off the heat, cover the pan, and let the flavors infuse for 30 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, whisk together the stout and molasses. Bring to a boil and turn off heat.

3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk in a few tablespoons of the hot cream mixture, then slowly whisk in another 1/4 cup of the cream. Add the remaining cream in a steady stream, whisking constantly. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan.

4. Stir the beer mixture into the cream mixture. Cook the custard over low heat, stirring often with a wooden spoon, for 6 to 8 minutes or until the custard thickens enough to coat the back of the spoon.

5. Strain the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Process the custard in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

I have lots more recipes too :yesnod:

ps this would be good on top>>>>>Dark Chocolate-Honey Sauce:
2 cups whipping cream
1/4 cup honey
20 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

In a medium saucepan, scald cream and honey medium heat. Remove from the heat. Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Add the hot cream, let sit for 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth. Whisk in the vanilla. Let stand until cool but still pourable. Serve over Guinness ice cream.

Thank you for sharing with us the recipe of that ice cream and the instructions on how we must do that.

It's summer so we've been making a lot of Broccoli Salad.  It's fun because you can just start adding stuff, whatever looks good!

Chop up some broccoli, however you like it, I like to cut most of the stems off and make the pieces really small
Add some chopped onion  (I have to do this afterwards in my own special little bowl because Brian hates onions)
Add some bacon bits or real bacon pieces
Add a little bit of shredded mozzarella cheese

Mix it all together with some mayo or miracle whip, I try to use this fat free crap with just a little bit of light mayo added for good measure   LOL

Today we cooked up some ricotta & spinach tortellini and added it into the mix after it cooled
RIP Kyle, we love and miss you man.  :smooch:

Hey Yota Krawler, When ever you get free time and get around to digging up your dutch recipes, It would be greatly appreciated. All we bring is a dutch oven to cook in when camping/wheelin and having a few more recipes wont hurt.

We like to camp alot and like to think of new things to make, breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack. What are some of the things you make or take with you camping?

These we did last caming trip that were new to us. Both had a great smoky taste to them

Not sick, but not well.

Looks good but we already have a huge thread to post that stuff in.  You didn't have to start a new one.   :slap:

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

No problem - I've merged the camping recipe threads and I'm setting it to sticky because a lot of people might like to review for reference. Feel free to add to it! :beerchug:
