Not really...

I would break the LED brake/turn lights on Quasi probably once every 6 months. but those were about 24" behind the rear tires. I would never even touch the back-up LED's on the corners of Quasi. and these ones are actually a few inches IN FRONT of the back edge of the tires. I really doubt I will have any issues. And if I do in that rare case, I'll just pay another $8 for one down at Napa. Its better than $25 for the LED ones I ran on Quasi.

Mounted up a 1.5 gallon fire extinguisher (recently pressure tested to 330 psi) for my OBA Tank. Would have been nice if I could have got my old 3 gallon tank in under there, but there just wasn't room.

Then I re-arranged my garage to get the sami tub in a better position to get the sheetmetal work finished up on that. First was to clearance the the back of the drivetrain tunnel and the e-brake cable mount removed.

Then I got the driver side all sealed up.

And tunnel capped off the back of the tunnel.

Got the passenger side all sealed up - I only need to cut out the removable panel from a piece of metal for the front driveline access.

4RnrRick

Cover made....

Then I painted the inside with good old spray bomb (Dark Gray Rustoleum).

4RnrRick

Got the firewall and under carrage cleaned up and painted.

When bedliner gets dirty its just turns a funny grey brown color... with paint atleast you can clean it.

KDXSR5

They make smooth herculiner from what I understand. I think I saw them paint a truck with it in Peterson's 4wheel and 0ffroad a while ago. Its still bedliner material, but it does not have the bumpy stuff in it. I am going to try it out on my new truck once I get it running.

I looked, and can't find it right now, maybe it wasn't herculiner. I will look into it more later.

if you take the roll on kind and roll it wil a smooth roller.... it will be smooth... the roll on kind... the reason its "bumpy" is the roller they give you... gives a texture.

Actually the reason it is bumpy is the anti-slip material in it (usually rubber or sand) The stipple effect comes from the roller. They do make smooth bedliners too. Durabak makes a sweet product   http://www.nonslipcoating.com/   ...sorry kinda off tropic

I don't mean to continue the hijack but this has to be the article in question

Thanks!  I am going to try this stuff in my bed and I'm thinking about doing the wheel wells and paint along the sides below that body line.

It might not be Rick but I seem to always get ideas or learn something new in Rick's thread
