Well tonight I reworked over my clucth bracket some more and I think I got it working pretty good - I hope.

So then I moved onto the rear coilover fitment. If you remember I was having problems with them hitting the tires at full stuff AND the frame rails on full droop. Now that the rear frame rails are notched, it looks like everything is working out pretty good. Well expect for the fact that the tires hit the rear sheetmetal and I'm going to have to increase my bump stop height.

Anyways I think I got the fitment pretty good - so now I get to make some shock tabs and get them re-enforced. along with that you can see the start of what I got planned for sealing up the coilovers. I'm planning on making a removable top cap section so I can still install the top bolt.

Made a couple more sheetmetal pieces to fill in the gaps. The top piece is removable so you can still get to the coilover bolt. So now the passenger side is done and I get to see how well I can duplicate it on the driver side!

Got the driver side sheetmetal done and it matches the passenger side pretty good.

I also re-enforced the coilover mounts with a couple tubes.

Time for some more Paint.

Today I worked on getting the sheetmetal all bolted back together and aligned. Not to mention finding all the stainless steel hardware I bought to replace those damn suzuki phillips screws.

Ran into a problem with the window frame on the driver side door. See the title on this sami was "totaled" when I bought it and the only real damage I could find (not including the old hood and some bondo on the core support) was the top corner of driver side door window frame appeared to have been pushed back, which tweaked the window frame of the door and the moved some of the sheetmetal around. Well now that I got the targa and winsheild to be what I think is aligned correctly - the door won't close. and you can see the split seam sealer on the door, so I need to figure out a way to tweak the window frame forward and back into place. I'm sure I will figure out a way - but I just got tired dealing with it so I quit early today. So no real progress was made.

But once I get this door figured out - I can start on some front end tube work so I can determine the front coilover mounts.

I already got a spare set of doors that wil be cut up for half doors. Right now I think I can still fix this one. It just needs some persuation.

here's the first idea that popped in my head...

weld a hook on the front of the door.... like by where the mirror would be, and then i another somewhere on the other side of the door.. .and hue a ratchet strap? and try and pull it back? or something like that.
