I'd say it's time to make some then. I made some from an old set of rims, some 4" pipe, and my old shock mount plates (spring seats). Could :snapshot: if interested.

yeah that would be cool... i have old wheels just chillin around and pipe is easy enough to get as well as flat bar, just put a \__/ to it and its cherry

DeadlyPeace

Ok, next I get a chance to run by my shop I'll get a few pics.

OK here's some pics of one of my jack stands. They are 32" tall and the rim is a 15" dia.

I used 4" pipe, but you could use down to a 3" depending on the hole in the middle of the rim. The top is a spring seat and the shock mount was cut off. They work great for working on axles too. Just bolt them down to keep them from spinning.

In the lower left you can see the top of another set I made. They have three 2"x3" tubing forming a triangle with a \___/ shape plate on top. These one were made to be a little more sturdy. The ones above will be easier and cheaper to make and seem to do real well.

I like the first cheap one with the stock u-bolt plate..
Im thinkin of building a set like that,
just high enough that the tires are off the ground a bit..

A set with a peice of C-channel facing up to grip around the bottom of the frame would be cool too..

enjoy it, shaving blows

so for the rig:

tomorrow im taking apart the U joints on my DL's and putting a new set on my DL so i have a DL again. and i might be able to crawl up a wall if my gearing was low enough because my tires stick out just a hair in front and might be able to get me up a wall if i wanted lol.... but depending on what goes on tomorrow i might try to get a torch and move my steering box. ill take some pics tomorrow of my filthy angles, and i got a pic of my DL, it blew enough to shoot the needle bearings out, i got a carnage pic of it. cell phone quality
