i know, i need to go to pick and pull to get a cat for it. I did the muffler but still have some work to do on it. and also finish the yotas exhaust.

thanks for evacuating with my welder! lol i went to coutolenc road last night and watched the fire burn a little, and on my way out a chp was heading up probably to run me off, where are you staying now that grammas house got evacuated too?

yeah this one is extremely bad for our town, there arent many ways out of here and way too many people, it could be a disaster....... almost was last month, took hours to leave town when it takes 15 minutes

It all happened on Tuesday. I got up early cause I had a smog appointment. The sky was orange and hella hot for being 9 in the morning. My wife's car is dark blue, when I went outside it was covered in ash and you couldn't tell what color it was. We had bark chunks and burnt leafs in our yard. Well anyway I went to my smog appointment and when I got home I started working on it due to it didn't pass. So I got it all torn appart when we got a call. It was a Precautionary Evacuation notice. So I was like, oh

! well I will start to put my truck back together then. We got another call 30 minutes later. This time it was a Immediate Threat. By this time the truck was back together and I was loading it. Then we got a Mandatory Evacuation notice 20 minutes after the Immediate Threat call. So then we had to come up with a plan. Then a cop comes down our driveway and said you guy need to leave NOW. So we got all we could fit in my yota and in my s10. My wife's car was loaded down also. We headed over to the in laws house and thought we were okay. Then the got a call at about 10 O'Clock. So we went down to wal mart and spent the night in the parking lot. Then Wednesday afternoon we went to Woodson Bridge, 5 miles outside Corning. We stayed there till yesterday. It was a crazy time.

So I live about 150 feet from the feather river canyon. The fire burned on the downside of the canyon but never jumped the feather river. But we could see the flames and the orange glow at night. It was really close. We thought for sure we weould not have a house when we got back. Heres a bit of info. I live right by a church and when we got home there were 14 fire trucks with about 60 fire fighters with chain saws and axes. I asked what they were doing and they told me that they are cutting the fire line wider so there is no chance of it climbing our side of the canyon. I said exactly how wide is it. They told me you can land a 757 Boeing Airplane and the tips of the wings will not touch the trees. crazy huh. But we are ok and we still have a house. But it was an experience I will never forget!

Glad to hear everything worked out and your house is still in one piece . I got ready to evacuate from the fires in Nevada county but luckily they were contained before we had to leave.
