Re: Time to build, getting close!
« Reply #120 on: May 21, 2008, 06:18:47 PM »
well my brakes took a s#^t so I put a 15/16s master cylinder on and new calipers. They work awsome but I think there might be a small bubble still in there cause I loose a little bit of pressure. But boy does the truck stop! I also got a electric fan so that will be in shortly along with what I used and how I did it.

well I got some pics of the 15/16s master cylinder in and how I bent my line. They work awsome! I got the bubble out and they are tight and stop in a hurry! I also took some pics of the fan swap I will be doing. The pic with the other shroud is the stock yota shroud for comparison. I also cut the plastic on the stock bumper and took a chunk outta the front part of the fender. Then rolled it, it needs a touch up but whatever.

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

I got it at pick and pull, it was on a s10 blazer. It has 2 speeds and matches up perfect. It is after market but not sure what kind it is.

I also want to make some sliders and a rear bumper, I want to get rid of the shitty built. I also want to fab up a stinger on the front. I was thinking 2" for the rear bumper and the stinger, and 1.5" for the sliders? I have a few ideas in mind for the bumper and what not

no its the fuel injected 2.8, it was a abandonment recovery that a tow yard picked up. I am really good friends with them and i asked if they had anything for cheap and he cut me a major deal. It did not look like that when I got it. It was on stock rims with 235s, stock grille and the inside was tore up. So I went to the junk yard and got some buckets. Tore out the beat up rubber floor, and fixed up the interior. The black on the bottom is :bling: wal mart paint. It has been a little project but I needed something to drive back and forth to school. So here she is!

Right on. My friend had a blazer in high school with the 2.8, it really wasnt that bad of an engine. considering what he puts his vehicles through, i was pretty impressed with how it held up.

it did help that i had a lifted 85 blazer for parts. I held on to it just cause. so i have robbed a ton of parts from it, hense the grille, tow hooks, and tires. And almost all the interior. So I pretty much have double of everything.
