I might be able to help ya out with the topper pieces as I am probaly gonna ditch the entire top on mine, I'll let ya know though, wont be real real soon though so if your in a rush sorry cant help ya

Hey guys I have a questions sbout the skid plate, where does it bolt up to. I have looked all under the transfer case and transmission and cant find mounting holes. The guy i bought it from had the skid on the truck, becasue it is coverd in grease, so there should be mounting holes. DO i need to drop the Transfer case crossmember or something? Thanks

Never mind its actually an engine skid plate, but it wont go in, due to hitting the drive shaft should i remove the drive shaft to get it in?

Here is the pics of the skid and were it goes. I threaded the bolts in it and they thread up so thats wre im assuming it goes. The skid is still alittle wet so i will give you a pic of it hitting the drive shaft a little later.

Sorry to go offtopic here for a sec but I have to ask, am I the only one not being able to see the pictures on this thread?
You know, this is not the first time this has happened with you. I have another screen capture from the YOU!!! thread, I couldn't see your photo there either!
As you can see from the screen capture below I don't see anything, not a red X or any placeholder. Nothing.
If anyone knows why this might be happening PM me! Thanks  Carry on...

The only reason why i use it is because my truck is stock. I think truck look good with em on, but are you really going to be worried about running the front/underbelly up your engine compartment up a rock??? Prolly not. But like i said, i still think they look good...

Show us some pics when the paint dry's, then mabey you wil be about to figure it out...

Sell that thing on ebay and build somthing that is stronger. I've seen a few of the stock skidplates fold from a fallen limb or branch. It would dwfinately be no match for a rock.

Hey, i am taking apart the steering box, and need some major help. It leaks really bad from the ffront near were the steering column hooks up to it, so i am trying to see if there is a gasket leaking or something. So i took the front of the steering box off. I see that there is ball bearings in the steeering box, but didnt know that till now. So i think most of them fell back into the steering box. I need a magnet to get them out. Does there seem to be a problem with the front of the box to you guys? I need help asap!!!!!!!

first thing you should do is take the rest of the steering box out of the truck.  You may as well rebuild the box since you've gone that far.  I dunno if the FSm has the directions, but I *think* minisimp has done it.  PM him for details

Gittinit

pull the pin that fits in that slot in the above pic.
get a big screw driver and unscrew the slotted pice
hit the end with a block of wood and a hammerto loosen it all up
careful not to loose the wedge shaped pices or the spring that are inside there

I have had them pop right off and I have had them stick from corrosion and old buildup. There is a ball on the end of the pitman arm that fits into the drag link by means of a slotted hole.

You beet my post Gittinit. I fugured it out myself! I got the entire steering box out. It took me awile but i did it. Here are some pictures of it out. I got all the ball bearings out as well, atleast i think i did, how many should there be? Tell me if you see anything that is wrong with the box, because i have no idea what i am looking at. I think i will take it apart to look at the entire box just to learn.
