Going down, 2.19 today! It's funny how the title of this thread is relevant again but in the opposite of its intent.

I thought we were scared of it going UP to $2 back when this thread was created in 2006 too, but I just went back to page 1 and we were actually waiting to see if it would go DOWN then as well.  My post on page 1 said I was paying $2.41/gallon and now it's $2.09 here.  Interesting!

Dont mean to make you guys jealous. But here in ohio ive seen it as low as 1.69. Never in my life did i think i would ever see it that low again.

abnormaltoy

Last Tuesday I put $20 worth in my truck @ $2.01...I was all happy...until I drove down the street and saw gas for $1.98.  :tantrum: I was robbed of the joy of wallowing in subtwobuck gas. Until today...$1.90!!!!! $25 filled me up completely!!!

I love the free market!

I'd expect it to bottom out soon, then rebound up a bit.  Cheapest I saw here was $1.85, but the cheapest quality gas I saw today was $2.03 for 76.  I know where I'm stopping tomorrow  :yesnod:  I need to check the link and see who is listed as the cheapest here right now  :bolt:

not to be a joy kill but it sux that diesel is still $2.99 where regular is $2.05.  Specially because diesel is the left overs of what it takes to make gas.

The widest spread that I've seen so far is 1.99 for reg and 3.09 for diesel.  The only reason I can see why diesel is so high is because they haven't refilled their tanks and when they do the diesel should drop a bit.  It still is stupid and makes me really really mad that I'm still paying more than a dollar more than diesel but I have to remember that 3.09 is more than 2 dollars less than I was paying for diesel this summer.

Rocksurfer

$1.95 Gas

$2.05 Diesel

I think the reason that it is dropping so fast is that the world just found out how much they are actually connected to our economy. When our economy was booming so was theirs. Now that it has tanked and the housing market burst its bubble so went their economy.

:blah: Oh wait, that's not very nice of me.  You could have a gas power truck, but you had to have the torque.

well if you keep up on the stock market or the rest of the economy for that matter you will notice we are currently in a deep gutter.... 3 days of stock rallying now hopefully it keeps up and we are actually at the bottom finally....
