Im a ways over it now beings I traded my 84 for the bucket and raped it for parts.  I cant say its fair to trade another truck for parts and not count it.  So I gave up on the cheap and ordered a shizzy load of parts to make it work better.

All the support plates for the perches are 3/8" flat bar and the riser plate on the driver side is 1/2" so I think Ill have enough beef.  Ill form the rung gear protector out of 3/8" as well.  I just dont wanna have to do this crap again, its a serious biotch!

Yup I had lost total interest in it and the bucket came on the market for trade or cash so I jumped on it.  I took it in the shorts hard but Im happy now, because the 90 is almost done.  That was the main goal of the whole deal was to get the crawler on the road and make the bucket into more of a comuter/ weekend beater.

Ill have pics of the shave job on the new housing for the 90 up in a bit Im allowing some parts to cool so I dont warp the shizzle out of the housing.  The shaving is done and the plates are welded in but I still need to finish the truss supports and weld the inside of the housing and its complete.

ok kids heres the latest pics of the housing.  I still need to plate the truss down to the tube, pull the 3rd and weld the inside and put gussets on the knuckle balls but the shave job is done.

When you start at the bottom the only way to go is up.....  And yes I have plate left over still.  The center piece is one solid piece of 3/8"x2" that I scored and bent into position.  The rest is 1/4"  I dont think Ill have any strength issues......

I've always believed that the stronger something it the better it will be. Enginering only looks good on paper. The real proving grounds is the rocky trails and heavy right foot.

I just got back in from the shop.  Ive got the transfer cases done, DAMN Im in love!!!  223:1 is flat out BITCHEN!  The suspension is also done.  I added 2 leaves to the rear spring pack and one to the front, now its pretty nice, its taller than I want it to be but it'll do till I have more time.

So I took the truck wheeling.....  I didnt break anything but the exhaust hanger.  Im REALLY suprised thats the only damage.

The truck was puffing pretty hard revlimiter+ about 10 minutes doesnt make for a happy engine.  But it all cleaned up just fine.  Although I did lose the headgasket because of a crack n the radiator.

Holy crap those are damned big pics!!  Ill have to see about getting them chopped down.

Oh yea the arrow is pointing to where my tire was resting on a crooked attempt.  I was told that i was just about as close to rolling as I could have gotten without going over.  It ws actually pretty fun.
