Got my driveshaft all cut down, and painted (pic doesn't show paint) just need to install marlin Crossmember to bolt it up, because I've got clearance issues with the stock crossmember. 

Half doors are done, got a layer of primer on them, just need to be painted :hyper: Got a little assistance from Spotter today :yupyup: more of my truck is black now :thumbs:

Put on my crossmember, had a few small clearnace issues to take care of, due to using the chain drive t-case, which is a tad bigger than the gear driven ones.  Don't worry, I've got a plan :think: and I'll finish up the armor on thursday :hyper: 

Of course, using the turtle-tuff crossmember,and a stock gear tcase mount (instead of a homebrew/modified chain drive mount) my drivetrain lowered about an inch, and now my rear shifter hits the body, not letting me shift into 4hi or lo, and my crawlbox keeps popping out of 2hi into nuetral, due to the tightenss of the shift boot, it keeps pulling it out. :smack: stupid little things, but another hassle nontheless

space it back up- either a plate with drilled holes or shoot - just plain longer bolts and some washers would probably suffice!

Pretty much what I was gonna do. :thumbs:  I just wish my to-do list would quit getting longer as I was trying to make it shorter :smack:  I've gotta swap out my PS pump too

Already have the steel for it, the SA I picked up had a monstrous under axle diff guard/skidplate/truss :yupyup:  I'm thinking that diff skidplate'll look real nice right there under that t-case.  I kinda expected it when I ordered the crossmember, just need to weld it on :thumbs:

Awesome!  I bought one of the big skids too and I didn't think the xfer case mounts would line up, ie the spacing with a chaindrive case and gear drive case + the MC10 wouldn't be the same as a std duals setup.

Agree on the suggestions to take a piece of 3/8 place, bend it to clear the back of the case by at least 1/2 inch, then weld it to the skid.

got my crossmember all done tonight. :thumbs:  hacked up that diff guard I was talking about, and went to town.  It's not that pretty, but it'll work.  Only thing I don't like about it it is the loss of ground clearance, but hey, its still IFS anyway, right? :dunno:  I'm used to draggin my belly :yupyup:

got about a half to 3/4 of an inch between the skidplate and the t-case.  Hope that is enough :dunno:  I really don't want to contact that T-case

that is the plan :thumbs: don't have time to do it now.  :smack: I just wish I had thought about that before I bolted everything up and modified the crossmember.  Oh well :dunno: no big deal :hahaha:

yeah...
so I decided I don't like my clearance with my crossmember :smack:  Tommorow I'm going to tear it back down, and modify the tcase mount so it mounts up about an 1-2" higher.  Then I have to cut that pretty :crazy: skidplate that I made and reweld it up higher.  I spent about 45 minutes figuring out what I should do, and finally came up with a solution.  I figured it out, we;ll just see how well it works tommorow :crossed:

yeah :smack:  thats what I get for being in a hurry.  The answer was right in front of me the other day, I was just so fouces on getting it done, that I screwed it up :smack:  I'm gonna take my time this second time around, I may not even get it really started today, I've got other things to do, and I'd like to tackle this when I have more time (Ie, weekend)

finished my crossmember today.  I could have gone a little higher, but I'm happy with how it turned out.  I gained 2-3" fro when I "fixed" it before :smack:

RUGER took off my bumper today, thats my next project, I just need to measure everything out to mount my hitch  He also worked on his truck, and did what he does best, :boozer:

Got tired of my chair back leaning at less than a 45* angle, (guess that is what you get when you buy from good will) so I decided some repairs were in order.  THen, of course I had to try it out :thumbs:

Truck is now back from MCR5, and survived with little damage :woohoo:  been driving it around lately, doors went back on due to rain (that hardly fell :tantrum:  ) need to get on my exhaust, and now apprently my rear axle tubing is cracked :smack:

Here is how it sits now, and a pic of the rear axle.

No, its not dripping onto the tire, thats where I rubbed my fingers after rubbing off some of the crud.  The diff was leaking because the lower two nuts were coming loose :screwy:

little update here:

Replaced the water pump on my truck last week, and while I was at it, went ahead and replaced the timing belt too.  Belt was cracked across the blet all the way around :yikes:

Had to mount up a cat as well to pass smog (that I'm about 3 mos. behind on)  so that was my project for today.

Cat wasn't exactly what I wanted, but I made it work :thumbs:  first pic is the pipe I had in place of the cat (after I cut it :smack: )
