Got the parts I needed at PnP.  :gap:

Truck is back on 4 wheels.  Gonna weld the rear end and finish up the gears on Tuesday, then all that is left in the rear is brake lines.
Hopefully going to weld the hanger on Tuesday as well.

Tire the truck's been sitting on for 6 mos.

Had a buddy helping me out today

Not off the top of my head, but I'll look at them tommorow, and see if they've got anything stamped on them.

Eventually :gap:  Probably not before the roundup though.  I'm running out of money, and out of time.  Haven't had rear shocks for 4 years or so, should be alright.  :yesnod:

clean garage (for now)

New toy.  Got the welder, and a 50 ft extension cord off craigslist the other day.

Gotta cut the hanger down, cutting the top section of box tubing off

Finally welded in my tunnel cap (been sitting on top of the carpet, sheetmetal screwed down) and sealed it with roofing sealer

Kingpin and all associated parts look good

Doing a little cleanup before rebuild.

Max wondering why I'm dirtying up his room

And that may be the end of pics for a while.  My camera took a header off my table in the garage, and is irrepairable.

Pics will come tommorow, but got the D side of the IFS pulled off.  Gotta do it the hard way, no torch or plasma, unbolting it piece by piece, then using a cutoff wheel and grinder to clean it up.

front and rear gears are done, front hanger is tacked in place, shackle holes are drilled, and springs are just about ready for mockup.

Interior will go back in tommorow, and front axle will be assembled in the near future, pending arrival of parts.

To do:
Move steering box
mount shock hoops
buy shocks
brakelines
reassemble front axle
purchase steering (links, TREs)
mount bed
fix exhaust
reassemble interior
buy front diff cover
paint (if time)

I barely can myself.

as of right now, I'm planning on running the typical high steer.  It appears as it sits right now, that I might clear the oil pan, but I'm not sure.  I've also considered running crossover, using the arms that are on the knuckles, and running the tie rod in the stock location.

what did you do?

go check out my build in Rig Gallery.

if i were to do it again id probably would have just bought 1 high steer arm an done the cross over steering with a burly tie rod. everything clears fine but if you want to do hydro assist the ram is right there under the pan an gives you a very small amount of up travel, depending on how much lift you are running. my springs were close to flat.

Got a lot of minor stuff taken care of yesterday, started reinstalling the interior, fixed my exhaust, ran my rear brake lines, bolted on the rear diff cover, and cut out the centers on my H1 wheels.  Only thing I got pics of was cuttign out the H1 wheels.

Using a cutoff wheel is a PITA, but they turned out well.

Also got my shocks hoops,
IFS box relocation plates,
and my threaded steering ends.

Ordered my front diff cover, wheel centers, and rock rings from great lakes offroad.

Moved the PS box

painted my knuckles

Thats about all I got done today, bought some other small stuff I needed.

TREs and Ujoints are on the way, as are my wheel centers and rock rings.  Should be here anytime so I can start putting the axle together.
Still working on the spring packs, I got them figured out, just need to get some spring clamps and new centerpins to put them together.

yeah, I did.  I moved the box as far forward as I could without cutting into the core support and body mount too much.  I should have waited, but its too late now.  We'll see how it looks.  :crossed:
