na I went and looked a paint today and decided I don't want to spend the money.  i'm gonna be sportin the halfdoors in  a couple days for they rest of the summer anyways so atleast it will look a little better.  this things gonna be ready for this weekend right?

Tomorrow gonna do some prep work on it since its been raining. Hit it with the wire wheel... paint the welds before they rust.

Im going a detroit in the front and welding the rear.

Original plan was 5.38's until I found out that they dont make 5.38's for a 14 bolt..

THEN I was set on 5.83's but... i've now heard they dont make 5.83's for a 14 bolt.. the gear selection on these axles SUCK!

I'll probably end up wtih 5.13's.... which isn't bad

get a 60 rear and go with 7:17.  I know someone that has one for cheap

nah.. then i'd be having to deal with aftermarket axles just to make it as strong as a 14 bolt stock.

That's the only reason I went with a 14 bolt instead of a 60.... gear selection is kinda of a PITA but.. they're a dime a dozen and strong as flop.

Besides the axles are already mounted so its a done deal.

I'll be cruising by there in a few weeks to snap a few shots, exo should be done and starting on the hydro steering.

Exo's started, should be done here in a few days. Changed shifts at work so I only get today off.. no work....

next on the list of things to-do is the hydro steering.

Alright bro, I went by curtis's place to see how the cage was comming along and it's pretty sic so far.

By the way, when are you planning on buying the fuel cell and other junk you need?

have to take it in steps.. once I get it back home i'll start the drivelines and mounting the cell..

Over all, i've got some specifics if anyone wants them of the top, front, sides and across the window.

Gotta give it up to Rock and Roll Offroad!  These guys are doing awesome work on the rig.

love the look of lots of gusets. your rig is going to shread some trails. how long till its driveable?

I should be DRIVING IT (not finished though)  in about a month.

In ordered to drive it all it needs is a rear driveline and fuelcell/ lines ran.

Starting the front clip next week and possibly hydro steering.

I'll post up pics as it progresses.

looking bad ass.  I say hack off everything sheet metal wise from the cab forward now while its apart because its gonna get trashed anyways and it'll look way better
