You win some, you lose some.

Oh I'm not worried at all that I'll like it.  I can't stand waiting right now.  I put my order in way back in May and they are booked 4 to 6 months out usually.  Trevor just gave me a call yesterday and told me that he finally figured out what to do for the back seat area.  Mine will be different than everyone elses because I want it to be completely covered back there unlike their other 3 seaters.  I plan on paneling the whole tub for the wintertime so that I can run it in the snow if I want to as well.

gotrocks

here is the normal 3 seater and you can tell that the rear seat isn't exactly covered that well.  They said that normally it isn't really used for a long term passenger and more just for cargo.  I don't plan on having a 3rd person with me all the time just for incase I do they are just as well protected as the front 2 people are.

gotrocks

oh and those are the tires I just bought on that buggy.  The guy is now running the new creppy crawlers from maxxis.

gotrocks

I just got some updated pictures I wanted to post up to let you guys see.  what do you think about the new rear design compared to the one I just posted above with the seat coming out of the bars?

I have to say that I think it looks way better this way.

Travota

agreed....I liike the rear of yours better

looks like the rear passenger wont be rattling his/her head on those cross bars that you posted in the first pic...

I like your design much better, that first pic gives me a headache just looking at it.

I hope you have this thing ready for MCR5, I just got my truck back and i'm ordering all the parts tomorrow to finish it so it will hopefully be ready my MCR5.

keep your thread up to date I'm really enjoying watching your buildup. looks really good so far man.  thanks for the comments on my buildup.  I can't wait to hit up some harder lines with you at the con.  Are you going to wheel some before the roundup.  I'd like to find a few guys that want to do some more wheeling the week before if possible.

Shamb

possibly, all depends on how quick i can slap the truck together.

PM me your number and i'll call you a week before.

well as of friday they were finishing all the welding up of the chassis and yesterday they were suppose to get the skid plate material in.  They should be assembleing it as a rolling chassis this week.  I might go over to Arlington next monday and see the progress being made.  I'll shoot you a call and see if you want to go.

Shamb

Post up some pics of the progress

I will I am going to call them today and have them send me some pictures.   I wish I had a day to day update to always put up on here but I'm 6 hours away from it.  I hopefully will be picking it within 2 weeks.  Then the craziness will begin.

anyone have any idea on how I can get a green sticker for the roundup.  Since this isn't a registered vehicle how hard/easy would it be to get a ORV tag to make me "legal"

Shamb

It is kind of a PITA, I had to go to DMV 4 times until they finally got it right. Some how they have to "trick the computer" into thinking your registering a quad or something so that it'll let it go through becuase there is no classification for "offroad vehicle only" you'll also have a dual registered vehicle. Remember to specify that no tires will be touching the pavement at any time during operation or towing of the vehicle, if you dont then they wont let you get the sticker... not a single tire can touch the ground.. very strict!

That reminds me... I need to get another green sticker because mine went with the half of the frame that was cut off.

Good thing is... once you get it tagged then its only like $20 every 2 years and no smog...

oh I don't have any smog issues anyhow where i live.  Its really nice my runner has a header to muffler.  I don't have any cat or smog crap on it.  Deffinatly give you more power.  I'm guessing that someday I'll have to smog my stuff though.  But living in a farming community has its advantages.
