your gonna get used to that rear end and front end lifting off the ground once you run the Con... some big rocks that'll definently flex 'r out.

nice pics, that's a really clean rig.
Thanks man.  Flexing this thing out definitely doesn't take much. ::)
Rock Pile doesn't like your tierods!!! lol

IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Well, since the front works OK as is, and I can't spring the :twocents: for hysteer, I am trying to get ahold of some 2-3" lift f150 springs.  I don't want to run blocks, which is why I want a lift pack.  I plan on a hybrid using the main and second from the f150s and some of the existing rears.

How hard is it to get a hold of the f150's? And how wide are they?

stockers aren't hard to find, but you have to run them with blocks. a buddy of mine supposedly has a mild lift set...he just has to find them. I don't know...there are a couple widths I think, I have to wait till I see the springs.

I dont know about that. My old truck had the stock F150s (from a late 80s to early 90s ford F150 using the 2.5 inch winde springs) and i did not have a lift block, i had a 3 inch body and 5" skyjacker front springs and wit hthat combo my rear end only sagged about an inch in the rear then the front did. The ride quality and flex was much improved over the 5" skykjacker rears taht were in that thing.

There are a 2.5" and 3" versions that were under those trucks.

hmmm I thought you did? maybe on the runner? I know there is a build on here somewhere with f150s and blocks, I could have sworn it was you.

Now thats why I said on my old truck ;)

My runner is a different story. I have 3" blocks in it and its about level as the front. I figured I got about 2 inches of lift out of the rear of the runner (without the blocks) and i figured I got about 3.5-4 inches of lift out of the rear of my longbed truck with the exact same springs. If you had to you could always get the springs and then get them rearched (about $100) but then by the time you buy the springs ($50 for springs in chico from pnp) its about the same price (not quite) as MC springs...

Id say just get the F150s and if you have to just run a 1" block or somehow get as much as you need. Personally I like the rear squatting then having it sit higher then the front.

gotcha

Only reason I am thinking of doing it this way: springs are free.

Good call.... Get them and run them. Just get some 2.5"x2.5"X.25" ID sq tube (i think tube is inside diameter... If not oh well) like a foot and a half or so long, cut it diagnally but leave a little 1 inch space.... you know what ill try to find a picture.

I cant find my pics of how i did the spring hanger on my f150s cause im lame but heeres how someone did it and its similar to how i did. Im sure you know what im talking about since you arent an idiot, but here you go

Now I did that (moved the hanger forward 5.5 inches dead center of the old one to dead center of the new one) and took some 7" eye to eye shackles and some stock f150 shackles (chevys also work) and put the f150 shackles mounted to the frame and then the 7" shackles mounted to the f150 shackles and to the f150 springs.

As long as Duffil don't mind, how far is the center pin to the front eye/hole/thing?

If he does mind then we can just kick him.... It goes with his thread anyway...

I dont remember the exact measurments but from the front of the ford spring to the center pin MINUS the distance from the front of the stock toyota spring to the center pin it was like 5.5". On my old truck I moved it forward 5.75 inches and it was just a tiny bit too far forward so i didnt even measure when i did the swap on my runner i just rememberd 5.75 was too much so i just moved it forward 5.5"
