MUCHADO's 85 (in progress)
« on: Jan 03, 2006, 06:07:06 PM »
Alright, well I've had this project toyota pickup for a year and a half now..... and I'm still not done. It'll get there eventually. Below I'll show kindof the progression we've made with the truck. Most of the things that have been done so far were "cheap" mods where all it took was time and materials...

couple pics of then I bought the truck. old-school rancho 3inch lift springs, shackles, 3inch bodylift, chevy 350, th350 tranny, stock 4.10 gears, open diffs, 32 inch generic mud terrains and a buncha accesories from the 80's...

paint, bumpers, flares, bedline rockers

oops what happened!

ah a little better

painted my house... (not really mine)

dovetail'd it

bed floor

made a rear bumper/stinger/tire holder deal...

from the front.. eh i guess somewhere in there we made rock sliders but I forget when....

started EXO

wheel'd it once...

bad line...

oops..

been sitting in parent's storage lot for past 8 months due to need to finance a business venture... Hopefully this spring/summer I'll make more progress on the truck.
Plans include:
Longfield chromos
dual cases (one being a 4.7:1)
4-link rear using stock TJ coils
swap out my all-pro 5 inch front springs for a hybrid toyota rear pack
weld the rear
techtafab disc brake conversion and 1 ton master cylinder
lock-rite front
add more to the EXO like an X behind the cab
work on carb problems or convert to propane
low profile crossmember
eventually beadlocks and different tires, I'm not too impressed with the TSL radials I've got now
eventually the FROR rear full floater kit

all it takes is a little money!  :tantrum:

huge thanks to Big Jim @ RockstarFab in Great Bend, KS for all his labor/guidance/encouragement.... and letting my rig sit there while we worked on big projects.

I'd love to! It all depends on how my funds look.

Here's some pics from Disney, Oklahoma a few weeks back.

Thanks, that rear stinger was actually a piece from our scrap pile(small jeep stinger I think)... I held it up jokingly and then was like whoa that might work!
