Nice tow rig.  Why do you have a TJ??

snowshoebrue

tj is my dads.  i have been using it to get to work since my truck sold on wed.  thats why my truck is out of the garage.  he doesn't have the top on it and told me that my truck get stolen before his jeep does so his jeep is in the garage.  i put the doors back on my truck and took the tank out of it and all of my gear and tools to make it less appealing to thiefs

my neighbors are so nosey, and up all night i'm not worried about people stealing anything. next door neighbor's wife is a manager at the theaters so she doesn't get home until around 2 or 3 so he waits up and plays pool till she gets home. i have forgot and left the garage open all night with tools in plain site and they were there in the morning.

Jud

I live in a "good" neighborhood and I know nothing would be left in my garage in the morning! I had somebody pry open my toolbox and make off with a $250 craftsman tool set and a hitch reciever!

snowshoebrue

bed is line-ex so no worries about that.  i'll drive it like a truck, but i still baby my rigs.  amanda doesn't like the fact that its a stick(she can't drive one), but besides that she likes it.  she really like the running boards for getting in it

so teach her :dunno: parking lot and double low...can't stall!

tom w.

shoot, you can't even stall in 4 hi and first gear in those dodges

snowshoebrue

i should rephrase, she knows how to drive a stick but is afraid to.  she learned on a 70's fiat that would stall and roll back so she thinks that all vehicles do that.  if she had to she could drive it, but short of an emergency she won't drive it.  plus since we have been together (6yrs) she has driven my truck maybe half dozen time and that was only my gmc not my other dodge

with the chip on it you can dump the clutch and it won't stall in 2 hi in first.  i don't even use first other than gridlock traffic.  then i just put along

I remember I learned how to drive a stick on a 75 triumph. My dad said," son, If you can learn how to drive this car, you can drive ANY stick shift" and started laughing hysterically. Lets just say driving my toyota stick is a walk in the park  :talkingn: :talkingn: i know how she feels

man your rig is sic, both of them.  I really dig those dodge ctd's,  x2 on not turning the truck into an f-toy.  It's already a bad mutha just my :twocents:

snowshoebrue

thanks for the compliments
so since i haven't posted anything in a while got some updates.  i got the new rear main seal in, new trans in.  have to make a new crossmember this week.  i won't be able to run the new axle at the roundup, so i have to swap everything over to another stock housing cause mine is bent.  then i have to build new armor for it and build ram mounts and clearance it for the 30 splines.  i have a ton of other small crap i have to install before the roundup.  t-case brake, johnny joint shackles, led rock lights, rear suspension winch, corbeau seat, pus i'm sure there is more.  i also bought a new computer since mine crashed and won't turn on.  also got bend tech pro to go with it

justin what is up do you need a work weekend? I will head up if you need some stuff done.  I can do the small crap ha ha naw man let me know.

snowshoebrue

i got the t-case mounts welded to the frame and the crossmember shortened.  i have to drill and tap the brackets and then i will be done with that whole deal.  then i will do the front axle this weekend.  those are the 2 things that have to be done to go the rest is just things i want to get done.  after this weekend i should be sitting pretty good.  i am bringing home the bandsaw from work and hooking up the plasma cutter to do some damage this weekend  :flamer:.  i should be ok i will have 3 full days to get stuff straightned out, plus 2 weeks after work.  thanks for the offer

Yoat Goat

since i haven't posted in a while over 120 days according to the warning here are some newer photos.  i also traded  my custom housing for a single seat chassis that i will build at a later date

Duffil

holy crap man...I thought you gave it up.  That's a pretty sick chassis. What are your plans?

snowshoebrue

the chassis is based on toyota running gear so it will be set up just like the truck 22r w/propane, i am gonna look into an auto on it though, toyota axles probably only 37's though
