Here's the maiden voyage out for my 4Runner

http://www.rockfrogs.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=492&start=0

Here's the video of me making the chutes at Chinaman's

http://syntheticnet.com/rockfrogs/image/chinamans_-_2006-11-11/chinamans_-_2006-11-11_aaron_4runner.avi

All in all, the 4Runner did great for it's first trip.  Chinaman's is a tough trail for a stocker, open, with no lift.  I'm glad I got the Marlin sliders on before the trip, I used them a couple of times

I still have a rear main leak, a leak from the water pump area, and an EGR leak from the rear of the head.  Does anybody know how to fix the EGR leak?

Did you ever get to bring your truck to CO??  Chinaman's is a great trail, tough lines for the big boys and can get a stocker though with some effort

I does feel good to get it up and running.  I had to use it the last week since it snowed.  My Integra has bald tires and it wasn't going anywhere in the snow.  Truck started every morning last week, even in -3 degree weather !

Same here.

I've always wanted to run Cinamans, but haven't gotten the chance.  My friends have gone and said it's a fun trail.

Glad to see the runner got on the trail.  And good job getting it through almost stock.

Hey, thanks.  One of my friends is Phazertwo.  I believe you guys started your engine swaps around the same time.  Been watching your build the whole time, just not a big poster.

A CO Marlin trip would be cool.  I'm sure my friends would be down, too

Another truck.  He'll probably start a topic when he gets to start working on it later this month.  I'll let him go into detail then.  But he's supposed to get it done for our Moab trip in March, so we'll see :crossed:.

When are you headed to Moab in March.  I'm trying to figure out if I can make it out there the last week of March.

To fix the egr leak, all it might need is a new gasket but to put one on, you'll have to pull the intake because the intake gasket and egr gasket are integrated.

That's when I'm going.  I got every day that I could off(roughly 10 days), but not sure what days I'm going yet.  Probably 4 or 5 days.

Volcom

Nice!  I may be out there at the same time!  Last week of March is 24-31!  The 4wheel drive club I'm in is headed out that week.  I think EJS starts that Sunday the 31st.

That's what sucks, it's a new gasket when I did the rebuild.  Thanks for the heads up though.  I'm looking at buying some EGR blockoff plates.  Anybody heard any negatives about removing the EGR from the 22RE?

Well, I ordered up the LC Engineering EGR blockoff plates.  I'll post some pictures of the install when I get them.  I can't stand what the EGR does to the inside of the intake, head, etc...   It's disgusting the black junk it's pumping back into the engine.

We got like 3 inches of snow.  Nothing compared to what Boulder and Denver got.  I want to try the snow wheeling but I'm still unlocked.  Here's a great place to go snow wheeling, my club went two weekends ago and had a blast!!!

You still got that supercharger hanging around.  By the looks of the pictures, it could be possible to adapt it to the 22RE as a fun project.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
