Gittinit

Isnt all that black smoke just unburnt fuel?  :dunno:
Hug your kids, pray for a soldier, and don't sweat the small stuff.

– fortysixandtwo – sorry, i prefer marlin because aside from gittinit, no one is a know it all a hole

Rocksurfer

No it is from over-fueling, it is still burning it but the fuel mix is wrong in stock applications, now built diesels it means POWER!

Let's see some shots of your tow rig. You know that thing you use to get your 4x4 rig to the trail-head. I have a 35 ft. Rockwood motorhome, it's a 3 axle Chevy chasis with a mildly built 454 and a Turbo 400 trans with an underdrive. There are more goodies on this thing, in fact every now and then I find something that I didn't know was there, like the mood lighting that's hidden above my curtains. It has all of the usual ammenities that are found on every motor home and also a built in blender, food proccesser, can opener, mixer, etc, etc. An ice maker, water purification system, vanity, seperate bathroom area, dual air, backup camera, overhead spot light, rear spot lights, side courtsy lights lighted storage boxes, lighted cabinets, air control system so on and so on. Also if you didn't notice the trim is real wood, all the cabinets and tables.(this thread would suck without pics) Here's a few shots of it for your viewing pleasure:

How does it tow up hill?

its a 230hp tune also..........

what tune it is?  my truck came with the bullydog PMT program stuck on crazy larry mode which is about 250 hp (truck didnt come with the actual monitor) i had it detuned to performance because it was too fast.  ended up blowing the tranny and the velair clutch.  it would smoke so bad and would accelerate like you wouldn't believe.  i do miss that mode.  but i couldn't tow with it because the egt's would get way too high.

mattlosch

i run a smarty tnt tune... egts never get hot racing or towing.. never seen above 1400egt...

mine will get to 1400 pretty regularly but i tend to tow a lot of weight.  but my exhaust manifold is cracked so that probably doesnt help.
