Still need to check that but when it was running the third and t-case flange looked good..

Durr.... I forgot theres a cover over the splines. :hammerhead: In that case the splines must have bent at the top.

My girl got me these for X-MAS!! http://www.hunsakersports.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=261
Badass! Suspension recliners, my  :moon: will be very happy. :) Just need to order some 5 point harnesses up.

Nice seats dood...

I have crowe enterprises lap belts in my taco and theyre great. Theyre relatively cheap too. Id check those out
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

Shoyrtt

You are going to love the new seats. Your girl did good. :smooch:

I bought 3 sets of the Hunsaker 3" five point harnesses (for my back seat, I'll do the fronts later). I have had a set of Crow and Mastercraft belts in the past. The Hunsaker belts are just as good and made in the USA. :usa:

Those are looking pretty sweet Jim.  She completely surprised me when i found out she got me these!

Those harnesses are looking pretty nice. Im not doing just lap belts, they wont keep you in your seat. I might as well order the harnesses while i order the sliders from them  :)

lapbelts kept me in my seat pretty good.  but 4 points are a lot better.

skipnrocks

I wouldnt go 5 pt, I think the junk strap is annoying,  Four point should be more than sufficient!!  IMO

I was thinking of just not using the "junk" strap. Would seem annoying. Im going to look around. A 4point might be cheaper.

After a vasectamy?  When you want everything to stay put?

I think really only in racing applications.

The "junk" strap is to keep the lap belt on your lap, and not across your stomach. The lap belt keeps your ass in the seat, and the shoulders keep your back against the seat.

It may have to do a bit with how their mounted,  mine are mounted below the seat and back so there is no way for them to ride up my belly,  plus thats why I  work so hard on my gut, so I have a shelf to keep it down     I dont know I dont see that being an issue if their mounted in,  I believe its to keep you from sliding out your belt in a big wreck?   Just IMO

D-shaft had a bent and twisted slip and bent tube. Had it re-tubed and a new slip from AA driveshaft and its nice now. Cut the rear blocks so they raised the pinion 8* and now it sits 2* below the shaft angle and no more d-line vibrations!! Bought some 3x2 y style harnesses from crow. Got the 2" shoulders for long trips, more comfy. Went sno wheelin yesterday on the immigrant trail (88) off the sly park exit. The snow was crap, hard as rock in most areas and then soft underneath. It was a stuck fest for everyone. I should have been charging to pull people out but im just a fellow nice guy wheeler. Pulled out a new 4runner and Tacoma at the same time, a xj and tacoma at the same time, stock yj, fullsize Chevy, a first gen 4runner, 3rd gen pickup, and more cant remember. I got stuck a couple of times my self. Then there was a retard in a big rig diesel and flatbed with load and forklift on the back trying to go though!!! WTF was he thinking???? The highway is closed durring the winter (not plowed) He was stuck and  got a winch from some guy and must have got turned around i didnt see him on the way out.

My winch sounds horrible, i think the gears are screwed or something. i liked having the in-cab switch though. The engine did pretty good but still cant handle the 7% grade, i could do almost 60 up it. Death wobble is gone, the ram was loose and i had my shocks on the soft setting  :hammer: put them on firm and it handles a lot better. Silverstar headlights are bright but they only last a year, one is half dead already. They suck. My buddys only lasted a couple months and both went out. I bought 4crawls headlight harness, mine are are getting 2volts under powered, thats about half as bright as they could. And im buying roundeyes toyota headlamps with replacement H4 bulbs. O yea the little compressor that has been running my arb and iv aired my tires up at leased 20 times with is still running almost 2 years later! Sounds kinda bad but is still kickin ass.

I have no idea why that 12 wheeler was on there. Its a public road. It was hella funny to watch and take pictures. The jeep was my cousin, he got stuck and the 12wheeler was coming up the road blowing his air horn so everyone would move and he slowed down, got stuck on flat ice with chains. Then this guy trys to pull him and it was stretching the strap so bad it would sling the truck back and not move the diesel an inch. Then he used a winch and got it to move. It was hella funny the guy pulled the fork lift off the back and was ramming the rear of the flatbed while the black suv tryed to pull it with no one in the drivers seat LOL. This guys must not know the highways very well.

That sounds hilarious!  He wasnt even in the drivers seat?  reminds me of a buddie that called needing a tow so I hooked him up and he grabed his key and wallet and climbed in my rig with me.   I looked at him and just started laughing!!    :slap:

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

haha i could just see that happening. I bet he was dumbfounded looking.......whats so funny? :)

It was hilarious to see him trying to push the back of the flatbed with a forklift in the snow. never seen that maneuver before.

The front bumper is from FrontRange Offroad by the way.
