is this even on a toyota? no toy ever came with an overdrive 4 speed.my 4.375s are great with 31s, i can accelerate to 60 uphill without too much trouble and i like how they keep my revs down on the freeway. i'm almost tempted to go to 4.56s when i go up to 33s, but i figure i'll probably just do 4.88s like everyone else for a little more power.
what the heck is a 284? tundra/lexus v8?
I have 5.29's with my 33's and it works great
@ve3nlpgo 4.88@mike Dwhat what truck/moter U got? and how is the highway drivibility. I know thos greas are ment for 35" tires and was just wondering if that set up makes 1st gear in to a greanny gear?
OK heres a ? for ya I have no clue what my gears are in the truck, it had 33" on it when i got it but from how it drives I don't think there stock. IS there anyway to tell with out pulling the rear apart? like counting pinion to wheel revolutions?
Mike, are your tries a "true" 33? My 35" MTRs measure 33" and I HATE it with 5.29s. 70 MPH on the freeway is a bit over 3k rpm, and 80 MPH is nearly 3600 rpm. I can't stand it.If you are going 33s, save some money and either find some stock Yota 4.56s or keep the 4.11s you've got now. 4.88 is great for 35s and once I get some true 36s or 37s, then I'll be much happier with the 5.29s
