Nope. YOU are confused.. STOCK= 30 spline at the hub, 27 spline at the birf and 30 spline at the diff.
27 spline longs are designed to fit onto your STOCK inners 
The reason for the "30 spline" chromos from longfield is to keep them "warrantied"
IFS hubs are 27 spline and Bobby also sells a hub gear to make IFS hubs compatable with birfs (30 spline)

If you dont believe me check it out, I just slid a hub onto the diff side of my long inner axle which is 30 spline and then I counted them to double check 

 

thats good to know.  obviously i didnt know for sure.  So most people usually buy the chromo hub gears just so they dont break as easily i suppose.  if i upgrade to 30 spline longs i dont have to buy hub gears, sweet!
