Been workin on my dual case setup this weekend. Started with tearing down a top shift T-case for the shift rails, (thanks Tim for hookin me up with a top shift :beerchug:)    I then tore down my 23 spline case with the 4.7 gears so i could convert it to top shift.  I got the rails all clearanced and installed, reassembled today. Also swapped the rear driveline flange on the case so my new CV rear driveline will bolt up when i get those built.  Pretty stoked to have that done!  Tomorrow i'm gonna tear down my donor 23 spline to use for the crawl box. My adaptor should be here wednesday :hyper:  I have never seen a 23 spline input shaft before and was amazed at how much larger they really are!  They have alot deeper splines on them too. Here is a pic for reference (23 spline in the background)
Also another pic of the 23 spline 4.7 case all reassembled with the top shift setup.

you keeping that case a 2.28?
the crawl box will be 2:28 and the second case already has Marlin 4.7 gears.  Along with my turbo tranny first gear and 4:88 diffs my final drive will be 225:1 :rockingout:

didnt know there was a lower first gear, that would be sick!  but i think 225:1 should be plenty low!  i will probly hardly use first gear.  Plus i would eventually like to go with 5:29's so that will put it even lower.

thanks!  yeah i would say i'm happy with it.  It is really comfortable and alot more cozy on the road than my truck was. Eventually i will be bobbing and dovetailing the 4runner, and getting a custom soft top made for it, so that will take away a bit of the comfort.  Honestly i cant say how i like wheelin it compared to my truck because ever since i bought it i have had a stupid problem with the engine swap and i cant even drive it!  The only thing i can see that it will take a while to get used to is having more body to watch out for.  My truck was basically a truggy so i didnt have to worry about bashing the body anywhere.  I will be doing a partial exo on the 4runner too.

Well i guess you cant really say that one is better than the other. All the parts are pretty much the same, it just depends on personal preference of how many passengers you might want to carry and things like that.

So thats what I did and everything went pretty smooth. Gonna throw the drivetrain back in the BoostedRunner this weekend and measure up for my sick .25" wall drivelines :rockingout:  Oh and i found this badass rock spider on the sidewalls of my 40's
