damn dude...waht great timing huh?
He was on his way to Boise, ID (8 hour drive) with our buddy Soyer in his 99 Ranger with a KX 250 and YZF250 in the bed.
They were in Wieser, ID (1.5 hours from Boise) Soyer was driving and my brother was sleeping in the pass seat. Soyer looked to his left to see the sunrise for a second (at roughly 7am MST) when he looked back a huge Deer, Elk or Moose was in the road... he locked up the brakes and swerved to towards the ditch (doing 60mph btw) hit the ditch and it sucked him completely in the ditch towards someones driveway that had a colvurt going under it. They hit the culvurt and the 90* angled driveway doing 50-60mph and it lauched the up and over the driveway and into the bushes on the other side.
It completely totalled the truck.
My brother sustained minor injuries and a bruised right eye from it hitting the dash.
Soyer only sustained minor bruises.
The Dirtbikes were fine.
lesson is... dont drive tired, on a highway your not familiar with early morning, or on that mountainous highway they took.
they are now down in Boise, ID with two dirtbikes and no ride home.
