Engines, engines everywhere, but I can't find one.

I have an '81 4x4 I want to upgrade to EFI. I found an '88 donor truck with a 22RE but she knocks. What lower end from what cars/trucks will work with the '88 EFI top end?

uh how about my bottom end out of my 85. (that i'm gonna replace this weekend)   i have to replace my engine.  think i have at leasta bad head gasket and probably a cracked head, but the bottom end of the old 22re should be good.  she did 80mph on 410 gears and 35s the day i drove her to my parents house to rest in the condition it is in! 

the only prob is i'm in slc utah

I would take you up on the offer    SLC is a bit of a drive from Fresno Ca.
