Ok, so
if 58" is correct, then 58" + 1.5" wheel spacer (x2) = 61"
And
if 61" is correct, then my Taco read end should be 61.5" total wheel-mount to wheel-mount with no spacers, which is 3.5" wider than the 86-95' housing.
I will get this verified soon
Whatever it is, I know for a fact that the Taco rear end housing (just the housing) is 3.5" wider than the 1986-95 Hilux housing.
Also, the
The Capacity/Size/Weight/Length Thread says that the stock front end is 55.5", but I measured mine and wrote this down and my stock 1985" front end with no wheel spacers is 56-1/8" wheel-mount to wheel-mount and this is a verified measurement by me on my own front end.
So there are a lot of numbers going around the 'net, that's for sure
