No! I never even thought about it. I know the song was originally a poem, but I didn't know about the drinking song.
Seems very appropriate.
What strikes me as odd...it's a really hard song to sing well, I can't imagine how hard it is for a bunch of drunks to sing and have any fun while doing so.
