Test fit some 37s that a buddy let me throw on today.

Rears cleared with plenty of room and I will probably upgrade to a longer shock to get some more droop. The fronts cleared really well too. Just like I thought the pinch seam and a little bit of the aft of the front fender needed to be trimmed to prevent rubbing when turning and stuffing. So we took care of that when we got back from mall crawling on the RTI ramp.

Cut relief cuts into the seam and then pounded it down flush as well as took out some of the lower rear of the front fenders. Then I went on a wild goose chase for 3 hours as I found some mtrs on craigslist for $950 for 5 of them. Called the guy and convinced him to take $800. He was all the way down in puyallup so me and my buddy jumped in his truck and headed down there. Sure enough when it is too good to be true, it is. They had great tread on them but had huge chunks missing out of the beads. I was none to happy about wasting that time let me tell you. However the night has finished off on a good note. I just placed my order for my PBRRs  :willynilly:

What width tires are those?  I think I always visualize 14.50s and I suspect those are 12.50s?  They don't look as big as I was expecting.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

So I received a call today from Kevin at 4ws.com the place where I bought my Pitbulls from last night. Well turns out he didn't have any in stock for 3 weeks. However he said he could offer me some blemished tires that were brand new with the exception of having some cosmetic issues. He offered to give me them at a good discount. I had him send me pictures over and after viewing them decided it was nothing that I wasn't going to do to them the first time I got them in the rocks anyways so I went ahead with them. What do you guys think? Did I make the right decision? I got over $300 off.

That actually made me more hesitant is that I really can't see why they were marked as blems. I mean I guess there is that kind of scraping on them and it appears that the "pit bull" dog emblems didn't turn out very well. I spoke with the guy in length about them and he said its often something very minor that causes them to be marked as blems. I guess Pit Bull just has very stringent quality control. I'm not complaining as it just saved me a bunch of money.

Yea they wont sell you a defective tire.

From interco.

"Tires that are reclassified as Blems are tires that were found at the final inspection stage to have some cosmetic imperfection.  This can be something as minor as a tire with white letters having a letter that has some black showing in the white letter.  "Cosmetic" refers to something that slightly affects appearance.  Tires that have a more serious flaw are scrapped and never sold. "

Right. It is highly illegal for them to sell a tire that has anything wrong with its structure.

Well what did you pay out the door for them if you don't mind saying ? Blems are nice , I know a guy who strictly only buys blems from interco and he gets them cheap as hell and only have cosmetic wrong with them like a misprint letter or something.
