If it is changing, you must still have air in the system. I would bleed it more before you start changing parts. Toyota clutch hydraulics can be a real pain to get all the air out of.

I'll take another shot at bleeding it. I used the pump clutch pedal 3x then hold method until the bubbles stopped coming out of the slave bleed port. Anybody have a better method?

Crack the bleeder and let gravity work its magic first THEN do the pump and crack method. I bleed clutches and brakes all the time by my lonesome at the shop.

Just let gravity run its course until I stop seeing fluid movement I'm guessing? Okay I'll try that twisted. Thanks buddy.

keep the res full while doing it and let it have the drips for a bit until you see a steady drip with no bubbles then go from there! Hope this helps! :beerchug:

Is this with the pedal to the floor or no?

I spent 3 days of my holiday break in Oak Harbour doing other stuff to the truck and haven't had a chance to take a whack and doing the bleeding again. I also got sick right after that so it is in the plans just hasn't happened yet. How was your holiday BBP? You back on this side of the pond yet?

In other news I placed an order with All-Pro this morning and now have all my suspension/steering parts on the way! Only thing I need is to find a IFS box locally or spring for a rebuilt one.

Ya man. Just got home today.

Welcome home brother! Need to get your number so we can get together next time I'm on the island. Club has a snow run on the 17th if you are free we would love to have you come along. We will be going up to Greenwater and going up FS 70 until the snow stops us. Should be a great time.

Didn't quite get all that I wanted to get done over the holiday.

14. Add CB radio and antenna (Cobra 18WXSTII and FireStik II 3 FT antenna)

20. Strip sliders current paint and replace with POR-15 and POR-15 top coat(POR-15 and POR-15 Top Coat)

The sliders took forever to strip by hand. I will be employing a family friend's sand blaster when I do my front and rear bumper.

I plan to attempt to bleed my slave via the proposed method this weekend. Me and Liveoak are trying to make a team effort to conquer this issue. Here is a picture of my slave at rest. Give any clues to any of you 3RZ guys?

I'm wondering what you guys are using for paint on your parts? I've used Krylon rattle can as well as Rustoleum neither of which has held up worth a damn. I saw twisted toy's paint job here and would love to replicate that quality just in flat black instead.

I liked this question and remembered seeing a product advertised I think on hot rod garages you tube channel. It is made Eastwood and is a two part paint like what you would use in a sprayer. I haven't personally used it but i would suspect that it is tougher due to the hardeners in it. http://www.eastwood.com/paints/2k-aero-spray-paints.html

I ended up going the POR-15 base route and used their top coat when re-doing my sliders Nate. It turned out great and is going to be tough as nails I can tell already.

That's a similar product that what we use at work for doing jobs that don't necessarily require a lot of paint. It is just like two part, in a convenient can. Still have to let it sit after mixing to dwell and you can use it the next day. We call them popcans which is not to be confused with rattlecans :D

I do know ceramic based paints are incredibly strong. That is what they use on airplanes and what many of the guys at work told me to use when I was talking about stripping my armor and re-painting it.

Any paint product will last as long as its taken care of. That's why we do extensive corrosion inspections on aircraft to maintain that protective barrier. Im sure if I washed and inspected my truck every 7 or 14 days my sliders wouldn't look like crap. Also, paint prep is key.

Absolutely a lesson I learned from the first time I painted them. This time around I spent 75% of the time on prep and the rest on the actual painting.

Getting closer and closer boys. My Sky Off Road Design front u-bolt flip kit awaited me when I got home today from work. Going to give it the same POR-15 treatment as everything else. Do you guys think painting the threads would be a bad idea?

Mine isn't as clean as you might think. Needs a new paint job pretty much everywhere except for the sliders now which I conquered recently. I've got some trail damage on my driver side body etc.

I feel like Marlin and his crew are just flushing money away by having so many products out of stock. Forcing people to use less desirable options  :-\  Hopefully their hiring new folks will remedy this stock problem.

BBP I found some threads on YT saying that you made your own custom snorkel for your 3.4? Any write up on it I can check out?

Ya man, it's a long thread.....lol, shenanigans.  The snorkel was designed originally for my 22R-E but adapting to the OEM 3.4 airbox was "plug and play"
