Oh the two Chevy guys with the cage. The 4 door and the black one. On the way out we helped them remove the knuckle, it broke. They mounted the front of the truck to the back of the 4dr truck..  But Marlin told me this am they couldn't make it up caddy hill. I hope they made it out ok.

Looks like the ranger would be fun to build for your local "tuff truck" competition.  They always do well tell they break.

84 yota dude

Loved your truck from the start of this thread! In fact I checked it out before I even made an account here. These rig are constant projects and at least you already have a list of what needs to get done

daniresch

Your tires are wearing fast and "weird" on the inside because you need to get a proper alignment. your toe is out!
all the other issues seem small, get to it! lol

You know i never did adjust that after i put the 35s on. But they are pretty worn by now and im pretty sure my trunion bearings got destroyed on the rubicon so im most likely going to be building a different front axle cause i suspect mines parrtially bent too long side shafts hard to pull out. But its frustrating having to fix something every week, but at least the i have a awesome engine  :gap:

So I took you advise and went out and checked the toe and holy crap it was 3/4" out \  /  :disturbed:

I feel like a idiot haha so I adjusted it to 1/8" toe in and now it rides so much better tracks down the road nice and straight and doesn't wander all over the place when I put the brakes on :gap:

Alright guys time to buy some new tires for my rig. Currently running 35's with 5.29s in my first gen. Im not sure what tire size to get. Stay with 35's or go up to 37s. Big price difference between the two i can get a good set of 35's for under 1000 or if i jump up to 37's im gonna have to also buy 17 inch rims cause there arent too many tires out there in a 37 size for 15 inch rims. So should i just stick with 35's or would it be worth the extra cash to jump up to 37s?

I'm looking at these. Pretty cheap and mtr's have a good rep. Just have to find 16.5" rims. I know they arent ideal cause 16.5's like to pop beads but i can do beadlocks in the future plus they are still going to be way better that my bald toyo mall terrains

The ones in the link are load range E but i called up the people and they have load range D's in stock which would work out better for me

i was gonna say dont waste $$ on those, too heavy/ stiff and 16.5 wheels blow!

but then u mention beadlocks and that you can get a different load range version i say try em out. ive always ran OG mtrs and they have never let me down and the wear for them is great!

I've seen how guys weld some 3/16th rod inside the rim to act as the safety bead that 16.5s lack. I may just do that and run the 37 og mtr's. A set of new tires and rims would run me a couple hundred less than just getting new 35s. I think I'm gonna do it. Just need to find some steel 16.5s
