Ok so im slowly saving some money so i can re do my front axle. I'm gonna add a truss, trail gear wiper seals, Marlin inner axle seals, and probably marlins knuckle gusset kit. Then its on to dual cases. Just gonna run 2 stock cases for now. I'm gonna get a marlin adapter and a budbuilt skid/crossmember. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what else i should do while im doing this phase of my build?

Well my trans took a :pokinit: on me today. Started clanking on my way home today so the trucks parked for now. I'm hoping its rebuild able and not completely shot.  :crossed:So its time to dump about a grand into the old girl again. Gonna rebuild the trans, new marlin heavy duty clutch kit, and then rebuild my front axle with marlins heavy duty knuckle gusset kit, a truss, trail gear knuckle ball wiper seals, marlin inner axle seals, and upgrade my brakes. I think im gonna go the Landcruiser rotor, IFS caliper route with a one inch master cylinder. Also gonna do something about my front leafs. My RUF's just arent working out like I would like. I'm probably just gonna drop the coin on some all pro leafs. Stay tuned.......... :turtle:

ImmortalYota80

Wow havent updated this in awhile. Been doing alot of work to my truck recently upgraded my breaks to the fj-80 rotors and the ifs v-6 calipers with a 1 inch master, new clutch, new clutch hydraulics, welded on a truss, welded on my marlin crawler heavy duty knuckle gussest (i love these things great product marlin), added a 2 inch ad a leaf to my RUF pack, and got longer shocks. Went wheelin yesterday for the first time in awhile at Cow Mountain enjoy the pics!!!

My girlfriend never tells me when shes taking pictures  :maddest: excuse the face

My buddie started bouncing alot right here and broke his front driveshaft.

My buddie wheeled the rest of the day in 2wd and spun out on this icy road and couldnt get traction had to winch him out

Overall im extremely happy with how my truck performed never got stuck and i didnt break anything. Went on the most challenging trails and my truck just crawled right through them im very happy with everything. Everything seems to work perfectly.

Other than that nothing has really changed goin wheeling on the 8th. Also does anyone know who makes a dual case crossmember like a budbuilt that is set up to mount on a first gen trans mount using a longer g/w/r series transmission??? Havent been able to find anything

I don't think anyone makes what you need. Might have to modify one to make it fit.

i saw you where asking about a dual case crossmember than lets you run a longer transmission in a first gen, did you figure that out yet? if not check out the budbuilt bud B crossmember. it mounts with u bolts over the frame and lets you run any length setup you want, iv been running it on my first gen  with a w56 for years.

I havent dual cases are low on my priority list right now. I need to get this trans taken care of, then redo my front suspension and steering, then i gotta focus on getting it to pass smog in september, and figure something out for lockers etc...... I just want them by marlin crawler roundup this year thats my goal.

I just did a brake booster upgrade to my truck. The booster I used came out of a 1990 4x4 V-6 4Runner. I custom fabbed the new bracket using one of the existing 3/16 spacers then copied it onto a piece of 1/4 inch plate. Then used a piece of 3" tube for the spacer. I welded 4 carriage bolts onto the spacer that mates with the firewall. As far as a extension for the brake pushrod I did not take any pictures but I basically welded the old piece that connects to the brake pedal on top of the same piece that came with the new booster plated it up with some 1/8th inch for strengthen and it works perfect. The overall width of the new spacer is 1 3/4" and the booster clears the steering rod as well as the clutch master cylinder. Very happy with this upgrade it is probably one of the best upgrades I have done to my rig in awhile. Heres some pics enjoy :smokin:

Please excuse the boogered up hole I didn't have a hole saw that was big enough  :gap:
