Thanks man. It has been fun so far. Definitely more work than expected.

After almost 5 months I have a roller again. I need to finish plumbing my rear brake lines and address a few things on the front like removing a leaf or two,  add some brake fluid and bleed them out.

Drove the truck for the first time in a long while. Just need to address a few of the finishing details. Other than those, I'm just about ready to wheel.

Hydro assist finished up. Just needs a little paint

looks good man! those front hubs stick out pretty far it seems?

why did you change the hydro assist bracket from the housing to the axle tube, also did you fab up that tube bracket?

Coming from someone with a runner on 40s and tons and a pickup on 38s and toyota axles. Toyota ftw, tons have too low of clearance for anything less than 40s, and even then the toyota on 38s has more...

I changed the hydro assist due to not trusting the welds between the mild steel and cast steel of the diff. The bracket I found is from undercover fab. It worked perfectly.

I realize the 40's and tons have a little less clearance than the toy axles. It doesn't bother me though. It will offset the cost of the ring and pinions I kept blowing up in the toy axles.

I been finishing up some odds and ends while waiting on some parts to show up.

I added a piece of 1/4" plate in the rear of the front spring hanger and got it burned in to add a little more strength to that area. It made it a ton easier to get a good weld. After that I painted everything up in that area.

Got my trimmed up grille installed for the first time in almost 3 years.

Started on my rear traction bar cross member.  The Chevy 63s are prone to tons of axle wrap. It was bad before and I assume it will be worse now with the increased unsprung weight of the 14b and 40s.

Waiting on my sliders, traction bar parts and some one ton brake parts to show up.

Finally installed my 1 ton MC. I ended up replacing the rear OEM brake line with a -3 SS line to remedy the leaking one.
Added some fluid and got them initially bled. I just have to tuck all the lines away. Then on to a test drive.

Started mocking up my sliders tonight. I found them online from a shop called Slag Factory. They are 67" long with a kickout. The main tube is 2x3  with 1.75 outers and 2x2 legs. Scab plates and gussets were also included. They seem to be built well. I'm leaving the 2x3 tubes out a bit in order to be able to tie some tube into. Time to bust out the chop saw tomorrow to get the other legs cut and burned in.

Such a cool rig you've got mate. The sliders look great. I tried to look them up on their website but couldn't find them... Might have to call them and see what the go is.

Sliders look solid as hell. Those front hubs stick out quite a bit it looks like. Is that just because of your rims?

Yep, if you don't run around 10" wide wheel on a d60 the hub sticks out past the lip.

Tha BS of the dodge wheels are 5.5-6". That is why the front hub sticks out like it does. I was trying to keep my track width under 80" and it came out at 79".

I've been working on a few things over the past week.

Addressed my pass side spring perch and got it all torqued down. I had to trim the inner 5/8 bolts to fit correctly to keep the spring plate on evenly.

I painted the front calipers, high steer arms, and steering linkage. I should have painted all this before in installed it the first time.

Just waiting on the paint to dry. Should be back in this week.

I installed a new fuel pump mount on the back of the cab just slightly lower than the fuel cell.

Finished up my anti wrap bar

FYI: I own Slag Factory and hand built those rock sliders.
Glad you like them. They're definitely beefy and look great on your rig. Good buildup too!

Truck is ready to wheel as of this afternoon. I made a few hot laps through the neighborhood.

Rock lights are done.

I need to get my spare DS shortened since the slip yoke on my current one is beat up pretty badly and I don't believe it will hold up for too much longer.

Thanks man.
Spent the last few days removing all of the EGR equipment off of the truck. I have had the block off plates for a while and stumbled into this because I couldn't pull my FPR because the EGR piping was in the way. I cleaned up some vacuum lines and removed the charcoal canister since it is not being used anymore.

Spent the rest of the night packing for my wheeling trip next Thursday.
