Build is awesome. Just read through the whole thing. I'm in Houston, and we met at Dave's shop during KOH while he had it on TV there. Also saw your rig out at Jambo this year, and it looked great. I have an 85 4runner that I'm building. My a340h auto is on its way out, and I'm considering doing a manual swap or sticking with a later model auto. Since you have run them both, I'd like to chat with you a bit about your experience. I'll PM you.

Nothing new on this end except that I bent the front D60 and had to have it straightened, replaced the front locker because it was too loud, picked up a 92 1UZ for a future motor swap and a set of 39" BFG Red Labels.

Just been wheeling it and having fun. I will be starting on the rear 4 link in the very near future.

My buddy Nathan needed a project and I needed some help bending some tube so we started on a new backhalf and 4-link. The backhalf is all 1.75 x .120 DOM, Artec brackets, truss and link mounts and the Coilovers are 16" Fox 2.0s. Should be a roller within a week or so. The backhalf needs to be welded out, the other CO needs to be mocked up and the Fox Bump stops need to be mounted. Then the fuel cell, trans cooler and other plumbing needs to be re ran. I sourced a new roof which I will be doing at my house to fix the current one. We will eventually ad an exo and A pillar tubs to protect it. This will enable me to remove the inner cage and free up some head room.

Will you be able to use the stock ecu. I'm looking forward to seeing this done..

Stock ECU will handle 7-8 lbs of boost from what I have read. Aftermarket is needed for anything more than that.
Ill be running the 330cc pink top injectors and upgrading my e-2000 fuel pump as well.

Motor Swap has begun. 22re has been pulled and the 2rz has been test fit. Ill get some pics up soon.
Last run with the ol trusty underpowered 22re was a success. I never updated the suspension rework on the front and the subframe assembly that my same buddy designed. Its definitely a different beast now sitting lower with more up travel.  It's going to a good home and will be getting turbo pane in my buddy's new buggy build. I may have started buying parts for a rear steer axle in the meantime....

2rz is a nice upgrade.  I did the same thing in spring and it's much easier to do donuts now.
