Made a trip to Gold Lake in Sierra county on Saturday to get away from the heat. Had lunch and headed up the trail.

Hey Godfather,

According to "our referee", this will fail inspection because the cat is much too far downstream. They want it much closer to the engine. I placed "our referee" in quotation marks because the program is a joke and you get different opinions depending on which referee you talk to. Case in point they approved my conversion with my exhaust running under my transmission and my cat located in the stock Hilux location (under the driver's seat), but today they say this is illegal, but because I've already been "approved" its water under the bridge. STUPID STUPID INCONSISTENT WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY SMOG SYSTEM HERE IN CALIFORNIA.

Does this mean that the metal shavings he just drilled are gonna be stuck and rattling all around at the front of your cat eventually destroying all the catalyst? Did he try to extract the pieces with a pencil magnet, or remove the pipe and shake all them out?

did not think about that!! He may have got in there with a magnet, not sure tho. Anyway, thanks for the love Mike!! Hope to see you on the trail someday

the trucks lookin real good. it looks alot like mine. I wish I would have gone with an RZ instead of an RE.  I like the braided brake lines across the rear axle. where did you find those? also that cabin is AWSOME!  I wish there where more trails with an actual destination like that. trails to lakes and cabins are my favorite.

Thanks man. those brake lines came with the disk brake kit and have a plastic outer sleeve. need to mount them a lil better in a couple more places. Thanks for looking

The way I figure it, when it comes time to make mine legal, I'll just remove the front drive shaft to put about 5 cats inline so they cant say no.
