Thanks for the pics.  Ive been to the con but never to fordyce.  We are contemplating a trip there in the next couple months.  Is july/august really hot?  September Oct better months?  How many days would you plan to spend there?  3-4?

yeah, when I found that color I said. "That's it!". It was just dark enough. all the other blues I tried were too light.

You break down on the way home?

yep. thats at the Vista Point on HWY20 about 10 miles above Nevada City. I got rescued by my boss and we had to tow my junk home. Radiator was rubbing on the front x-member. So I lost all my coolant but the truck didnt overheat. Weird thing is, my fuel pump lost power right about the same time the radiator lost most of its coolant. So it was kind of a bummer. I have a new radiator for Reed's truck that I am going to use till I can see about fixing mine. But it was an awesome trip. The truck did great on the trail. can't wait till next year
