shitlbuffout-A saying among 4x4 and off road enthusiasts. Its said after damage normally cosmetic to minor parts damage has occurred on there rig or vehicle. Shitlbuffout is :pokinit: will buff out as in the :pokinit: being the damage will buff as in painted over cleaned polished or "buffed" out.

I'd run a low boost supercharger, then down the road if you ever need to rebuild your motor you can build it for boost and swap pullies and make it a high boost supercharger. Instead of with a turbo having to buy a different one

You'd be better off doing a 3RZ install.  I wouldn't waste your money on either.  Go with a 3RZ, and you will get more reliable power, and better mpg overall.  Most of the guys on here that did turbo swaps on a 22RE, regret it.  Those that run a 22RTE have the factory setup, or have a ton of money in it, just to get them to run right.

These guys are turbo nuts.  And have very deep pockets.  http://www.22rte-trucks.com/simplemachinesforum/

After looking at LC's site, I came up with this.

Supercharger setup: $3400 low boost, 30 hp gain, but will have to purchase the injections system separate.  Extra $1500.
Turbo setup:           $2500 7psi boost, but potential of 250+ hp.  Injection system separate again                Extra $1500.
With both setups, you should look at rebuilding the motor, and using ARP studs to handle the extra boost.  And your gonna need the copper headgasket
for both anyway, so you will have to tear the top end off anyway.
And for both, it is recommended to use a AFR guage setup, to help fine tune the injection system, another $3-500.

I would go with the EFI power package, for a 20-30 hp gain, for $900.  And would be more reliable.  Clean up your intake and exhaust with a 2.25" exhaust, and you should have way more reliable power, and alot of leftover $$ for a crawl box, lockers, and maybe a lift.

Just my  :twocents:   Just because I've seen guys waste alot of money, only to sell at a loss.  When I rebuild my 91, I'm going to go with this last setup.  But I'm gonna use Engnbldrs head with the larger valves for better flow into the cylinder.

85yotapolo where do you live?  I only ask, is if you live close to me, I could make ya a deal on a 22rte, almost complete.  Just needs a rebuild.  Just seeing how serious you are about a 22RTE.  Look at my Kilchis build in my signature, and you will see what I got.

I built a small block Chev with a blower and ran 8lbs of boost. Was a bear to tune and very expensive. Stuff you didn't expect you needed adds up fast.

Was a beast when I was done but, I could have just put a big block in for a lot less and had the same performance.

Point I'm making is the old saying holds true, "There's no replacement for displacement".

Blowers and Turbos compensate for small displacement but, your gonna spend big bucks doing it.

I was just curious if you lived ALOT closer.  Then I would make ya a deal.  But since you live down that far.  It wouldn't be worth it.
