^^thanks!!

Moved the top in to the garage and put a couple of layers of fiberglass on the outside and inside:

The cold is making the cure time take forever.. With the fumes filling up the garage and not having any luck selling my Marlin bumper decided it was a good time tO play outside:

Some how 7" showed up missing:

Need to trim the mounting bracket a little more and find some 1.25" tubing to do an inner sleeve for the upper tube..

Got one side of the bobbed bumper done.
My welding skills are far from perfect but am happy with my 1st time welding tube.

I did an internal sleeve with rosette welds on both upper and lower tubes.
Going to have someone with a real welder to help me with the brackets.

Made a little more progress on the top.
Glassed in the leading edge of the window openings so I could cut it for the new frames:

Test fit the frame:

Still have a little more sanding to do before paint:

Hopefully next week I will have some time to finish the window frames and cut some lexan for the sliding window..

Not much of an update but finally found some roll bar padding that I liked (plus my wife said ok:P):
It has most of the padding facing whatever direction you want:

Picked up an 8" tablet that I will be able to also use as a GPS, just need to find some good Android software for it, but it will sure be a lot easier to see than my little Garmin. Also need to find a mount:

Played around with some lighting options, center light is an LED, puts out a ton of light. Just need to figure where to mount them:

Not sure if I like it mounted above the bumper:

It has been kimd of crappy weather all day so i played with the welder today and welded some tabs for rock light. Ran out of time to wire anything though.
Mounted the HID's

Welding on your back is a pain. Need to invest in  leather welding jacket. The hot stuff down my shirt reminded  me of my army days having hot brass go down my neck:D

trying to figure out mounting ideas for the LED light bar.
down by the winch mount would interfere with my planned future winch so tried this:

zip ties are just a cheap way to try different mounting options..

mounted to the cage would help keep it more secure
daylight:

night, puts out a ton of light but would need to make a shield to prevent the light from filling the interior with light.

if I end up keeping it mounting to cage I will move it to the center and move the rearview mirror.
Just not sure how much use it would actually get mounted up there..
may end up selling it...dunno

Decided it was time to mount up some rock lights.
I have 10 of these 3w lights:

Made some mounts for the sliders:

3 on the slider:

10 w led at each corner:

Still need to route the wiring. Debating about a separate switch for the front, middle and rear lights.
Thinking of adding a diode to the rear circuit so the back lights would come on with the back up lights.
Yep, only one side is wired...

tank is on passenger side...it does have a slight lean, ignition  is acting wierd and won't shut off so I have to stall the truck with the brake on..causing the truck to bind up, plus my fat butt has been standing on the slider...

Lights look good. I like the idea of the Diode to make the rear lights come on with Reverse I was planning on doing that myself. Where and for how much did you get the 10w led pods?

Thanks.  I found them on ebay, if you search 10W LED flood a bunch of stuff comes up.  I paid around $20 each. the price seems to vary from $17'ish -$30.

Nice light setup!  I really would love to get a light bar sometime.  How's the glare from inside the cab with the light bar attached to the cage on the inside?

it probably would not have been too bad with a sheet metal shield or something but the glare off the hood wasn't great.
I actually just sold the light yesterday...on its way back east

Been looking for a way to have decent sound but not have to worry about unhooking wires every time I take off a door, which is actually a lot.
Followed a boat with a wakeboard mount...thought cool. Picked up a set of wakeboard speakers cheap and mounted them to the age.
They wouldn't quite fit where I wanted due to the angle of the cage so I made an extension

Waterproof and out of the way..
