Topic: fuel tank issue (is this where this belongs?)

ok so I have pue a chevy SB in my 85 runner. my runner was the 22re. I know that I cant use the stock fuel pump due to pressure issues. My idea is leave the stock pump in the tank (I am going FI someday) and then some how run a draw tube in and use the manual fuel pump on the side of the block untill i can upgrade. Has any one done this or have any ideas? I have a comp in 2 weeks and would really like to compete.

pull the pump out and you will see its attached to the metal sube with a short rubber hose. get a short piece of metal tube and replace the pump with this metal tube. then reinstall it and run the line to your manual pump
