vortec fuel issue
« on: Sep 13, 2007, 11:51:33 AM »
i got a 97 k2500 with a 7.4L.it will start idle ruff then the idle goes up to 2000 rpm for about 3 seconds drops back down to 900 and will idle smooth.touch the throttle and it sputters and trys to stall but if you play with the trottle"move it back and forth"you can get it to rev up for about five seconds.

On these models a dirty fuel filter can cause you to start running lean.
