this whole thread is wierd. cant really understand the way he types. its hard to read..lol and this is all about grease, i know that, but what about it!!!???  :weirdthread:

Okay let me try to clear it up for you a bit,

Factory fill of the enclosed steering axle is a semi fluid grease,
It is mistaken for axle seal failure,
the same fluid is used in the wheel hub,
The FSM written by Toyota Sales recommends a grease that is #1 incompatible, and the wrong grade, IE #2
Vrs a #1 or #0

So does that sum it up for you?  any questions ? can I be any more clear ?

Freaking weird how every comma, or period starts a new line.

I want the link, to this miracle juice.  Send me the link, so I can pass it on to our engineer.  Then we can see what this is all about.  SK#1, I'll check it out tomorrow.

Okay Kevin , Tell your engineer that it is a grease used in engineering for less than oil tight power transmissions devices,

A few places they are used other than in this enclosed steering axle is ,,,, Trains,

in the traction motors,

Again there is a ton of stuff in the4x4network backwoodsgoop section, just pick thru all the taunting, folks trashing me,

I hung in there for as long as I could, got 2 masters of the obvious as I call them but no more out of that group,,,

Anyhoo tell the engineer, Sodium or Soda based greases, used in "Less than oil tight power transmission devices"

Texaco used to have a product Marfak #0 got a lot of info from them,

Also A GE spec for this grease for the Traction motor axles,,, Yep the nasty goop in a train axle,,,

So BigMike can I post the link ??? its mostly educational informative, I have been busting my ass for 2 years getting thru the BS to get folks this info,,

Take your hand off the ban hammer and set it aside, get talking with Mr Marlin and see if he wishes to check this out,,,,

Thanks Frank,,, and Kevin not much on the new site, pick thru the4x4network backwoodsgoop section

Ok until I hear back about the oil, I call bull crap.  I still don't see how it can lubricate an upper bearing (trunion) when the axle turn is very little in a crawler.  I get the coating thing, but under extreme pressure, an oil doesn't do well unless the bearing is very wet.  I also cant wrap my head around the wiper, felt, ring keeping oil from seeping out.  I also don't see you holding any oil with the bearings caps, unless the knuckles or arms were machined for a seal or o-ring.  You also run into compatibility problems with wheel bearing grease and seals.   I also dislike your pic of a washed axle and caked axle, you should check that, it might be a leak.  This Thread is Worthless Without Proof.

i looked up that part number on google, found the site......

their reasoning looks very logical and beleivable..... but it is still vague....... the proof isn't there to support it or condemn it....

you come across with a cocky attitude

Dude I have caught so much flak trying to set this straight you would not believe, dealing with "Assholes"

So sorry,,

Would excuse me Mr Big Bad Crawler dude, uhm you have been hosed about a simple things as grease,,,

Read thru Toyota steering axle leak thread on Utah Rock Crawler,,,

Pay close attention to the part where my good friend Kurt Williams talks about a correct fluid that last for 30 years,
and the part where he says

How could lube migration be possible from the knuckle and the wheel bearings, they are separated by a spindle and a wheel seal,

Pay close attention otherwise you will blow right past it,

To much fun trashing a silly grease monkey,,,

Well Crawlers its there, the dude knows about this "Miracle" stuff,,,,

And would rather you didnt,,,,, pretty weird,, Read it and weep

And do not turn this into the Rixatus effect, I will tear you up,

Deal with it Crawlers,

Yep unless Big Mike wants to just turn this into a pissing match, clutter it all up and make such a ugly mess of the situation ,

Up to you Crawlers, dont care can sure play that game with the best of them so Post up the ID of a bushing and the OD of the axle,

And then we can start there, otherwise use this wonderful technology of the internet for "Rixatus"

and learn nothing,,,

you've been a member on this board since april 29th, 2011.  thats 1 week today.  i don't think your off to a good start.  try not being so offensive and stop saying CRAWLERS!  your trying so hard to convince everyone it really is sounding fishy now.  you could have just started a thread asking if anyone knew about this stuff rather than trying to cram it down everyone.
