went up again last sunday, had a blast! very eventful my buddy in a Cherokee broke his rear driveline and snapped his tie rod on crushers, i drove back to a friends garage and found/fixed all needed parts. found a raging wild fire later on past the top of crushers. called the fire department and watched them come out. pics up soon!

Had to be some idiot causing the fire.  Cause it hasn't been that hot and dry to cause a fire naturally.  BIL says the landing is wet every morning for the last two weeks up Cedar Butte.

yeah we saw some people leaving the area before we saw the smoke and walked up to it. luckly we found it in time!

heres some pictures from earlier that day

then his rear driveline turned into a Twizzler.

and he proceeded to not use a spotter while winching and snapped his tie rod

So we put his tie rod and driveline in my truck and :driving: drove out to a friends garage to weld his tie rod back together :flamer:, and found a spare driveline we could use after swapping his old u-joint and flange over :_order:
drove back and installed new parts :therethere: and spotted him back around and out :beerchug:

Gotcha, ya that's where I am now. I'm going to browns this sunday, you still make it out there occasionally?

On another note the mail man dropped off a box, Marlin 23spline 4.7 competition chromoly gears  :smokin:

Here they are next to my marlin 30spline front output shaft, now all I need is the 30spline rear output shaft and I'll be set.

update:

I've been wanting to buy a winch for a long time now, decided on the warn m8000 and here it is.

I moved the solenoid box forward about 2" to not interfere with the grille, other than that fitment was spot on.

Its nice to know its there just in case! I only plan on using it if I'm stuck out alone, which I try to avoid.

I made a couple changes to it, swapped out the roller style fairlead for a warn steel hawse fairlead and also swapped the original hook for warns premium hook. I'm really liking the beefiness and integrated beer bottle opener on the hook. :smokin:

Nice any rubbing

No rubbing at all daily driving the past 2 weeks, and I just finished installing bump-stops on all four corners today so I should be good on the trail too.

I haven't mentioned this before, but I have been thinking about it for a while.... 3.4 motor swap
