my new ride...70 chevy/79 yota

started as a 79 1st gen,now is part toyota,and part chevy...has a 70 chevy cab,narrowed down 12 inches,same width as a toyota.not all the way done yet,but almost.has a 60 front,and 14 bolt rear.4.56 gears.detroit rear,and welded front.full hydrolic steering,with a large fan cooled cooler.still has the 20r in it with a header,and a got propane kit.5 speed tranny,and the best part of all....tripple casses,and a 4.7 kit in rear,dont know the final crawl ratio...but fawkin slow!its 4 linked front and rear,has airshocks all the way around with a t/g kit re arranged in rear,and a custome double tri angulated front.42 in tires,and hummer beadlocks.gets 5 or 6 feet of travel....its about 76 inches tall,but im gonna raise it a couple inches in front,and 3 in rear.ive also got a marlin rotated adapter to put in rear,and pull out the t/g one.then i should be able to get a flat belly.t casses have been raised up considerbly,so tranny tunnel is cut and raised.got some tube work left,and mount seats,and its on.wheeled it some close to home,but have to pick up my trailer so i can take it to the rocks...

Sweet ride. Love the narrowed chevy idea. I tossed that idea around for along time. just could bring my self to do it. keep up the work, your going to have a sik rig when all done

no dash yet....havent figured out wut im doing there yet...my cluster all works still.so chevy dash w/ yota cluster,or yota dash all the way?

splice is almost all done.floor is a mess still,i raised tranny,and t casses up.plus joint between toy floor,and chevy floor needs clean up.ive moved twice in two months,and im fittin to move again into a bigger house,with a bigger shop,so i can get all my in order.then you'll see more progress.but its slow going now....

ya,registered as a 70....no smog.and im putting plates on it.so gonna drive it to work once in a while.i live in a small town,shouldnt be too big a deal!
