Friend Jillian just sent me some pictures from this weekend.

Don't laugh at my rear camper windows, they were temporary for the day so the wind on the freeway wouldn't bother my little girl.

Also, this is my friend who bought CJ's old 4runner.

TrackVino

My friend Travis installed the Rubicon suspention under the Cheroke, it flexes really good, just needs a lift and bigger tires.

The wheeling trip was on Sunday, and Monday, I drove back out there to tow my 4 runner home. This is it on the trailer at my friends house.

Clifcattankass

Looks sick, did something happen or were you jsut not in the mood to drive the truck home?

FATB0Y

TrackVino

I like driving it, but not without a fan belt, gets too hot.

Clifcattankass

yea good idea. Truck looks sick though. About that rear window on the top  one of my friends jsut did lexan and it turned out really good. :beerchug:

TrackVino

Lexan, yeah, thats what Im going to try. Hope to get some soon.

Thanks

Thanks for the pics Dean, I hope that tranny gets re-built in time.

BigMike

Hey Dave, where were those wheel'n pics taken at? And why wasn't your truck driving over any rocks?

Keep the progress coming man! Stay On Target! Only 9 more days until we party on the con!

Meriposa, not much rocks there, but there were some. It was perfect for my first time out.

Hope to have everything up by the round up, but we will see.  :attention:

TrackVino

Its been an ugly couple of weeks. After finding out I had a brocken transmission housing, I got a transmission from Louie, but found out it was the wrong one. I guess Chevy several different 700r4's. The correct one actually is a 4x4 model, which was what I had to start with.

So Donkeykong and I went to the junk yard on Saturday, found a good one under a 92 chevy s10 blazer, and pulled it.

Took that core to Tripple Tech Transmissions on Monday, and yesterday I picked up a new rebuilt tranny.

Came home, and finally got it in the 4runner. Put the transfercasses in, exhaust, and all the links for the shifter, etc...

I should have this thing wrapped up be noon tomorrow. Sorry dont have any pics, camera is brocken. Need to get a new one before the round up.

We shall see tomorrow.

If you don't go, then I don't go, it's that simple

Trackvino has it running and is going to take it to marlins to make sure it is good for the road.  I think he needs to build a couple abrackets for extra strength and get his new gauges working and we will be hitting the road some time around noon tommorrow with dean

TrackVino

I will post some pictures of the bracket later.

All I have to say about this thing is that it did really good at the Rubicon. Didn't take it thru the whole thing, just thru Cadillac hill, but there were some really good obstacles there.

This thing has so much power, both on the freeway and the trail. Did about 85 on the freeway to the trail.

For those of you who didn't go to the con, or didn't see my rig, here are some poser pics I took today, all clean and pretty.

TrackVino

 :ack:

TrackVino

Dont have the rear bumper yet, but because this thing is bobbed so much, I didnt hit anything.

TrackVino

Whats left?

I still need to finish the little windows on the camper shell, finish the half doors, and finish some wiring stuff.

Future Mods:

Probably next year, I will get a winch, put all new Bellfield Birfields, and replace all my axles with chromoly's.

Definetely get the rear bumper in the next couple of weeks, and start building some kind of exo.

Not much really, it seems to be working really good, well see how it does in the snow this winter.

motorider228

hey do you have any pictures of your rig from MCR4? I want to see your runner in action.

TrackVino

I was too busy driving, didnt have time to take any, but I think Dean might have some, and also, my sister in law took some video. After I download it to my computer, I will pull some stills out. I did take Rockys brother Ryan for a ride, he's been wheeling for many years, he said he really liked the way my runner handled the rocks, and that it has lots of power. I think with a little more experience, I will be rocking on the trail.

I will post some pics of the trail later.

Anthony

You have made tha a sick ass runner.... Keep up the good work.  :beerchug:

Yota4life
