Dave, don't take this abuse from these squirrels. All the time you are spending on you truck will show in the quality of the worksmanship, parts being used and also by never getting out your tool bag on the trail.

Thanks Dave - Its actually nice to hear from someone who know good craftsmanship. I know I wont have any problems with the transfercases.

Ok CruzrDave is right!!!! Workmanship counts big time. And if you go wheel'in with CruzrDave you won't even have to pull out of the garage.

I heard that CruzrDave was going to get a custom lic plate that saids "BIGFOOT".----------------- Ya because we've all heard that they exist and people have said they have seen it.... But I just don't know.

I would suggest a big engine swap for the wintertime and not when the trails are just starting to open

Hey Dave, Carlos and I will be picking up th 2.7 Friday about noon time, so we sould get home around 5 or 6. If you come by about noon the next day you can here the 2.7 run, and if you ask real nice I'll take you for a ride. -------------Dean

So you think you can get it done in one day ha, Is that why your trying to find someone to ride with for the Rubicon?

Dude, its been several years, and you still cant get your 4.3 done, or running correctly. Thats why you are now deciding to go with the 2.7, not because of the engine, but because you cant get your existing project done!!!

Thats OK buddy, since Ive only wheeled with you a couple of times, (because your truck is never ready) we shall see what goes on this summer.

Dave Wake up your dreaming!!! This truck with this motor has been through Clawhammer, Dusy/Ershim Twice, Rubicon ,Tera del sol, Coyote Lake 2 or 3 times, Pismo Beach and All over Death Valley!!!!!!!!!!! And I know sure as heck the only reason you have a 4.3 in your Garage/Web wheeler 4runner is because you loved how mine ran!!!!!! Have a nice day

If thats the case, then there should be no reason to change out the engine, but ohh whell, if thats what you want.

I sure hope for you sake you werent lying about changing it out that fast. You do have a reputation to uphold. I would have at least given myself a week or so, but we all know how you like slapping things together.

You know how I build trucks. And you know that it will take at least a couple of months to do this convertion. Think the real problem here is that your mad because we kicked your butt at flag football last weekend!!!!!!!!!!! HAHA
The main reason for changing out the 4.3 is a reacuring software problem. The 4.3 was a exparamental swap to test the strength of the electric lockers. So seeing how this is a Toyota shop and Big Mike's 2.7 runs so good and others in the shop are talking 2.7. I'm going to jump on the bandwagon. It would be cool if every one in the shop was running this motor. Racing up the four lane past 4.3's & 4.0 Rubicons will be cool!!!

Allright, enough about that, Yeah, Deans truck kicks butt, and yeah he has had lots of problems. Hopefully everything goes smoother with the new engine, it sure looked good sitting in the back of your truck.

Now back to my 4runner!!!

I have been down because of a foot injury, so I sat at the dinner table building the harness for the two e-lockers. I was able to walk today, so I finished it and put it in the truck. I also added some relays for the rock lights.

Every connection is soldered and heat shrink ed, so hopefully no sparks when its all done.

Ive almost completed the wiring, but being a bit anal, thats how I am. I dont want to have to redo any of this wiring later.
